Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s Crime Reports: Afternoon of January 14, 2014

The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Jan. 14, 2014.

17-year-old Sedalia driver charged with driving while intoxicated

Just before 11 p.m. Monday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a reported hit-and-run accident in the area of Clarendon Road and Southwest Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle inside a fenced area of the Katy Trail Parking Lot. Following an investigation, the officers determined the driver, 17-year-old Shayan Shaffiey of Sedalia, was impaired. The officers also determined the vehicle had not been involved in an accident. The police report states Shaffiey faces charges of driving while intoxicated.

Pettis County sheriff’s Deputies arrest a Sedalia woman on warrants Monday

Around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon, Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Crystal Thomas of Sedalia on two active Pettis County warrants. She was transported to the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.
