Suspended driver arrested in the 1000 block of South Sneed Monday morning

Around 10:30 Monday morning, Sedalia police observed a subject driving a vehicle who was known to be suspended. The vehicle was stopped in the 1000 block of South Sneed, and the driver, 22-year-old Samantha Perez of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail where she was booked and released with a court date.

Driver arrested for displaying the wrong license plates

Just after 4:00 this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle with license plates that did not match the vehicle. The driver, 31-year-old Jose Meding of Sedalia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending state charges.

Driver reportedly driving carelessly in WalMart’s parking lot nearly hits a toddler

Around 10:30 Monday night, Sedalia police took a complaint on a driver who was reportedly driving in a careless and imprudent manner through the WalMart parking lot. According to the complainant, the woman driving a white Chevrolet Impala nearly hit her toddler. The woman was issued a citation and given a court date.

Thefts from a storage unit on Green Ridge Road reported Friday

According to a police report, a victim came to the police station Friday to report thefts from his storage unit located at 3505 Green Ridge Road sometime after the July 9. According to the police report, when the victim went to his storage unit he found that someone had cut his lock off and replaced it with another lock. When the victim opened the storage unit, he found an RV stabilizer valued at $150, some jewelry and clothing were missing. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports

On Sunday morning, a victim in the 17000 block of Dove Road reported someone stole his Artic Cat 4-Wheeler from his property sometime overnight.

A man in the 22000 block of Maltsbarger Road reported the theft of some unspecified items from his property.

Just after noon Monday, a Sedalia man reported the theft of a shotgun, tools, jewelry, and two antique wooden radios from his property located in the 37000 block of Highway “M."

On Sunday, a Dresden man reported to the Sheriff’s Office that someone stole items from his property in the 19000 block of Whitfield Road sometime overnight. There are no known suspects in these cases.
