Homeless man arrested on two warrants this morning

Just before 1 o’clock this morning, Sedalia police responded to the area of 6th and Dal-Whi-Mo on a subject in the ally. Upon arrival, officers located two subjects walking down the street. A check on the subjects revealed one of them, 30-year-old Derrick Clay, had a failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County and a non-support warrant out of Cooper County. At the time of the police report, Clay was in the Pettis County jail pending a total of $1893.50 in bonds.

Sedalia man is in jail following an assault on his girlfriend

At 5:50 Monday evening, Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of West 4th on a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, 29-year-old Charles Monteer, who told them he and his girlfriend had a verbal argument. Upon contact with the girlfriend, the officer noticed she had injuries to her face. Monteer was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold on charges of domestic assault 2nd degree.

Assault charges filed on a 22-year-old female suspect Monday

Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 500 block of South Park on a disturbance. Upon arrival, they found that 22-year-old Mary Ann Hale of Sedalia had gotten into a verbal argument with two victims at the residence. Hale was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked and released pending a court date on a charge of 3rd degree assault.

Theft Complaints filed with the Sedalia Police Department

Around 8:30 this morning, Sedalia police took a report of a stolen vehicle from a victim in the 2400 block of West Main. According to the complainant, someone stole his 2005 Chevy Malibu from his residence.

American Automotive reported a Burgundy Chevy Aver that was rented on Oct. 18 has not been returned. Value of the vehicle is $9700. There are no suspects.

Faulkner Enterprises at 302 West Main reported that an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from that business sometime after Oct. 15. There are no suspects.

Physical disturbance call results in arrest for two women

Just after 2:00 Sunday afternoon, Sedalia police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1400 block of East 9th. Upon arrival, the officers observed two subjects in a truck, and one was punching the other one. The police report states that both suspects were arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail. At the time of the police report, 43-year-old Kimberly Morrison of Sedalia was facing charges of domestic assault, public peace disturbance and a pettis county warrant for failure to appear. Morrison also has bonds of $816.50, and $5000. Also arrested in the incident was 27-year-old Audrey Burton of Sedalia. Burton was charged with peace disturbance with a bond of $283.

Suspended driver arrested Saturday afternoon following a traffic stop

At 2:45 Saturday afternoon, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of East Broadway with a driver known to be suspended. Following confirmation, 30-year-old Chad Wolfe of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Sedalia man files a theft complaint with Sedalia Police on Saturday

On Saturday morning, a victim in the 1400 block of South Stewart filed a theft complaint with the Sedalia police. According to the victim, a former tenant of the house entered the garage and stole a stove and some clothes. The value of the stolen items was placed at $1000. There is a suspect in the case according to the police report.

Thief enters a home while the owner is at work and steals several items

Just before 5:30 Sunday evening, Sedalia police took a burglary complaint from a male victim in the 300 block of South Hancock. According to the victim, someone entered his home and stole several items while he was at work. The victim said guns, pocket watches, mobile phones and two jewelry boxes were among the items stolen. There was no information on a possible suspect.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports

At 4:36 Saturday morning, Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 27-year-old Krystle Joy Marquess of Sedalia for possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Pettis County jail pending further action.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Devin Wilson on an active warrant out of  Clinton during a disturbance in the 16000 block of Spring Road. Wilson was taken to the Pettis County jail.

Pettis County Deputies responded to a residence in Smithton on a report of stealing Sunday afternoon. According to the victim, thieves stole several unspecified items from their home. There was no value set on the items take, and no suspect information was included in the police report.

At 4:22 Sunday afternoon, Pettis County Deputies took a burglary complaint from a victim in the 28000 block of Stevens Road. No other information was available at news time.
