Two Sexual Misconduct Cases Being Investigated

Pettis County Deputies are investigating a reported rape that happened on 11th Street on Jan. 3. 

Sedalia Police investigated a reported domestic assault that occurred in the 300 Block of East Boonville. The suspect, Mark Paxton, became agitated during the investigation, stepped into the doorway and exposed himself while yelling several explicit words. Sedalia Police arrested Mark Paxton for sexual misconduct in the 2nd degree and placed him on 24-hour hold. 

Several Thefts Reported

Pettis County Deputies received a theft report from a victim in the 4200 Block of West Main Street on Jan. 3. A cell phone valued at $150, a laptop valued at $500 and two duffle bags with 45-50 DVDs inside valued at $350 were stolen on Jan. 3. 

A woman in the 400 Block of North Veteran’s Memorial Drive reported to Sedalia Police that $1,630 in items were stolen from her vehicle on Jan. 3. 

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole her cell phone valued at $800 while at Walmart. 

Yesterday (Jan. 5), Plaza Pharmacy at 700 South Limit reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole numerous prescriptions. 

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that her purse was stolen while at Golden Corral on Jan. 1.

A man in the 300 Block of Lamine Avenue reported to Pettis County Deputies that his personal information had been used to make purchases in the state of Nevada. The investigation is still ongoing. 

A woman in the 300 Block of Buckner Court reported to Sedalia Police that she was the victim of identity theft. 

A woman in the 300 Block of McAnally reported to Sedalia Police that she was being harassed via text messages on Jan. 3. 

Pettis County Deputies received a report that someone was trespassing in the 25000 Block of Mount Herman Road on Jan. 3. 

Pettis County Deputies received a report of an assault that happened in the 1300 Block of East Boonville on Jan. 4. 

Several Arrests Made

Pettis County Deputies arrested Christopher Crouch for having an active warrant and placed on 24-hour hold for possession of paraphernalia. 

Sedalia Police arrested Freddy Naylor for a warrant, burglary in the 1st, stealing from a building, drug violation for possession of marijuana misdemeanor, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear. 

Sedalia Police arrested Amanda Pfannestial for driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle on the highway without a valid license. 

Sedalia Police arrested Gregg Cravens and Devin Wilson for driving while revoked. 

Sedalia Police arrested Corey Grigsby for driving while suspended.
