Sedalia Police Investigating a Report of Sexual Abuse

Sedalia Police are investigating a reported case of sexual abuse involving children. A caller reported to Sedalia Police that he believed someone known to him sexually abused his children in the 3300 Block of South Stewart. The unnamed suspect is being held at the Pettis County Jail and the investigation is ongoing.

Pettis County Deputies Investigate An Assault

Pettis County Deputies took a report on Saturday (July 27) that there was an assault that occurred in the Smithton area. The victim reported to deputies that he was struck in the face several times. No arrest has been made at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.

Several Thefts Reported In Area

Mid-America Wireless reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole an Apple iPhone 5 valued at $649 between July 18 and 20.

A woman in the 1000 Block of East 7th reported to Sedalia Police that $700 in items were stolen from her garage sometime since July 7.

A man in the 1700 Block of East 7th reported to Sedalia Police the theft of a bicycle, bicycle parts and tools between 11 a.m. and noon on July 27.

Several Reports of Property Damage

A man reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone ran over his mailbox in the 3900 Block of McVey Road.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone has been trespassing on his land. The victim said he raises cattle in the area of State Fair Boulevard and Pro Energy Boulevard and someone walked through his barns and fields, leaving doors and gates standing open.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone struck his vehicle in the Walmart parking lot between noon and 1 p.m. on July 27.

Sedalia Police Receive Report of Animals at Large

A man in the 1700 Block of East 7th reported to Sedalia Police that there were three dogs running at large in the neighborhood.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Valdemar Grano-Waldo for having a Pettis County warrant for driving while revoked and another charge of driving while revoked, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Michael Danner for failure to appear out of Morgan County and a warrant out of Miller County for a traffic violation, bond set at $500 cash and $1,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Shawn Mantonya for failure to appear, bond set at $150 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Maria Madrid for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Edward Frederick for domestic assault in the 3rd and abuse of a child.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Shannon Davis on three active Moniteau County warrants and an active Morgan County warrant.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 25-year-old Thomas W. Pitts for having outstanding warrants out of Pettis County and possession of a controlled substance.

Sedalia Police arrested Bryan Combs for stealing.

Sedalia Police arrested David Williams for driving while revoked.
