The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s crime reports are from the morning of Thursday, March 6, 2014.

Sierra Cooper, age 19 from Cole Camp, was seriously injured and taken via Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia after driving her car at a high rate of speed and committing several traffic violations last night. Sedalia Police were pursuing Cooper’s vehicle, before it crashed in a field near the intersection of Highway 65 and 765.

Two Thefts Investigated

Pettis County Deputies received a report of identity theft that occurred on March 5.

Employees of Walmart reported to Sedalia Police that someone removed $50 worth of reciprocating saw blades from the store. The suspect also threw merchandise onto the lot when confronted by the store staff. The suspect left the area in a black Dodge Durango and all the merchandise were recovered by Walmart staff.

Sedalia Police arrested Amy Allison for failure to appear, bond set at $300.
