The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Wednesday, August 27, 2014.

Two Thefts Reported

Yesterday (Aug. 26), Sedalia Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. A vehicle had broke down in the area of South 24th and Massachusetts. The people in the vehicle left and came back to where the vehicle was and found it was stolen.

A woman in the 2900 Block of James Road reported to Sedalia Police that someone used her bank card in Columbus, Ohio, however she has never been there and she still had the card in question.

A Dog Bite and Two Assaults Reported

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that a dog bit her on the finger in the area of East Saline and North Depp on Monday (Aug. 25). The woman had to go to Bothwell Regional Health Center to get her finger checked out.

The Sedalia School Resource Officer at the Smith Cotton High School responded to a report of an assault that happened in the school. One unnamed suspect was taken into custody and was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police investigated a reported assault in the 400 Block of North Grand.

Four Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Dustin Fields for a Morgan County warrant, bond set at $50,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested John Johnson for failure to appear, bond set at $500.

Sedalia Police arrested Derick Schreiner for stealing and resisting arrest.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Lauren Davis on charges of identity theft and also found she had four outstanding warrants.
