The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County crime reports are from Saturday, April 18, 2015.

Sedalia Police investigated an assault that happened in the area of 16th and Sneed on Friday afternoon, around 12:35. The suspect took the purse of the victim and was located behind Fischer Concrete disposing of the victim's property in a small body of water. Some of the items were recovered, but most of the property was lost or damaged. Sedalia Police have charges pending on the unnamed suspect.

Pettis County Deputies received a report that somebody stole a 330-deer rifle, valued at $300, from a home in the area of East Boonville and Clarke Avenue on Friday (April 17).

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she parked her car in the JCPenney's parking lot, between 3:30 p.m. on April 10 and 12:20 in the morning on April 11, and discovered there were eight places on the driver's side of the car, that were shot at with a bb or pellet gun. The estimated damage to the car is at $1771.48.

A woman in the area of South Washington and East 7th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two tablets and a Nintendo DS, with some games on April 17.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that he found that his identity was stolen after filing his taxes this week. Another man reported to Pettis County Deputies that he found out his identity was stolen after filing for his taxes, between April 3 and 17.
