The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime report is from the afternoon of Sunday, May 3, 2015.

Sedalia Police and Pettis County Deputies still continue to search for James Horn Jr., after he fled when a victim that was kept in a box was able to notify Sedalia Police Thursday evening (May 30)that she had been held captive since January. Sedalia Police and Pettis County Deputies did receive a lot of calls on Friday and are following up on the investigation and tips, but have been unable to find Horn yet.  They still advise that if you see Horn Jr. that he is thought to do harm to himself or others and that you need to contact Sedalia Police at 826-8100, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Crimestopper Line at 827-TIPS or your local law enforcement office, if you see him.

A man in the area of East 4th and South Marvin, reported to Sedalia Police that someone pulled a portion of his privacy fence down in  his backyard and cracked the plastic trim around his rear window on Friday (May 1).
A business owner in the 300 Block of West Main reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his business, between 6 p.m. on May 1 and 9 a.m. on May 2.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone slashed his right rear tire on his 1998 Chevy Pickup Truck, while at Casey's at 1601 East Broadway on Friday (May 1).

A man reported to Sedalia Police that his vehicle was struck by another vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 3100 Block of West Broadway, yesterday (May 2).

Sedalia Police received a report that man's step-son ran away from home. Sedalia Police are investigating.

Pettis County Deputies received a report of a possible assault in the Lone Pine Trailer Park in the 1300 Block of East Boonville in Sedalia.

A man turned in a credit/debit card that he found near an ATM at West Broadway and South Moniteau, this morning (May 3).

Sedalia Police arrested Nicole Van Hook for possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting from Walmart.

Sedalia Police arrested Melecio Zacaria for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police arrested Melvin Fahrner for stealing from Wood's.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Clay Thixton for an active warrant for his arrest.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Troy Bishop Sr. for an active warrant for his arrest.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Helen Jones on an outstanding warrant out of Benton County.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Gary Spradley on an active no bond warrant out of Benton County.
