Early this morning (July 12) Sedalia Police were on patrol in the area of West 16th and South Sneed, when they observed a white male riding a bike southbound on South Sneed. The bike did not have a headlight and before Police could stop him, he jumped off the bike and ran to the 1700 Block of South Barrett and got away. The bike was taken into possession by the Sedalia Police Department.

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched yesterday (July 11) afternoon to assist the Pettis County Fire Department at the scene of a fire at 19010 Claycomb Road. After an investigation, Kevin Henry Lee, was issued a summons for knowingly openly burning, in violation of the current burn ban that is in place.

A woman in the 2300 Block of East 16th reported to Sedalia Police that several pieces of jewelry were stolen from her home between 4 p.m. on July 9 and 10 a.m. on July 10.

A man in the 600 Block of South Barrett reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole twenty 10-milligram tablets of Valium, $13, and a pair of scissors valued at $50 on either June 30 or July 1.

Sedalia Police arrested Bradley Vansteenburgh for being in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Offices on a subject with an active warrant for their arrest. Crystal Thomas of Sedalia was placed under arrest for two warrants.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Douglas Jackson for having outstanding warrants.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Jason Jennings for having an active warrant.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Chelsea Routon for having active Pettis County warrants.
