The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Reports are from the morning of Monday, May 27, 2013.

Sedalia Police Investigating Child Abuse Report

Sedalia Police are investigating a case of reported child abuse in the 800 Block of Westwood Drive.

Several Thefts Occur Over Memorial Day Weekend

Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the 14000 Block of State Highway O for a theft. Suspects stole Stihl weed eaters, riding lawn mowers and an air compressor, valued at $1,750.

A man in the 600 Block of East 11th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a Pioneer stereo and Equalizer, valued at $500, were stolen between 8 a.m.on May 23 and 6:30 a.m. on May 24.

A woman in the 1000 Block of West 3rd reported to Sedalia Police that she found two vaguely familiar men in her home on the night of May 24. Shortly after the men left, she found her car keys and $240 in cash was stolen from her bedroom.

A man in the 2800 Block of South Grand reported to Sedalia Police that a John Deere JS63 self-propelled push mower, valued at $150, was stolen from his patio on May 24 between 1 and 5 p.m.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into her storage unit in the 700 Block of East 3rd and stole a 19-inch computer monitor, 12-inch speakers, tent and sleeping bags.

Pettis County Deputies received a report of a burglary that happened in the 4200 Block of West Main Street. Several electronics were taken from the home between Noon and 9 p.m.on May 26.

A man from Overland Park, Kansas reported to the Pettis County Deputies that a giant mountain bike was stolen while visiting a friend in the 1200 Block of Woods Drive in Pettis County.

Pettis County Deputies responded to the 26000 Block of Griessen Road on a report of a burglary in progress on the morning of May 25.

Pettis County Deputies responded to the 27000 Block of Highway U for a burglary report on May 25.

Pettis County Deputies responded to a burglary report in the 28000 Block of McGee Road that happened since May 1.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that his wallet was stolen from his car in the 1000 Block of East 13th.

Pinky's Mall at 5915 South Limit reported to Pettis County Deputies that there was a car stereo found on the ground in there parking lot on May 25. The serial number was checked and the serial number has not been reported as stolen.

Several Accident Reports

Pettis County Deputies responded to the 400 Block of Minnehaha in Green Ridge for a KCP&L worker that was bitten in the face by a dog on May 24. The worker was transported as a precaution by APSI to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Pettis County Deputies responded to US 50 and Chevalier Road for an agency assist involving a motorcycle that failed to yield to emergency vehicles on Saturday, May 25 at 3 p.m. Pettis County Deputies later arrested 29-year-old Tye Snelson of Kansas City for driving while revoked and driving without a motorcycle license. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office will also be seeking charges.

Sedalia Police went to a hit and run accident on Saturday, May 25 at 11:55 p.m. A woman reported that she was driving westbound on West Main Street when a silver Toyota SUV pulled into the roadway and struck her vehicle, causing minor damage.

A woman in the 4900 Block of Vernon Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone damaged her vehicle between 3:30 and 4:35 p.m. on May 24.

A man in the 1300 Block of East Boonville reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone had damaged his 1993 Ford Ranger while it was parked on his driveway between 11:20 p.m. on May 24 and 1:40 a.m. on May 25.

Many Arrests Made Over Memorial Day Weekend

Sedalia Police arrested Ronald Caserta for a probation violation out of Johnson County for possession and distribution of marijuana, total bond set at $50,000.

Sedalia Police arrested Alexandria Bates for having a Pettis County warrant for violation of education requirement for a child and failure to appear for driving while revoked, total bond set at $5,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Nick Noble for having a city warrant, bond set at $125 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Sharde Smith for having a city warrant for failure to appear for non-payment, bond set at $88.50 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Chad Arnwine for a Pettis County warrant for being in possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear.

Sedalia Police arrested Christopher Lipper for a parole violation and resisting arrest.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Roger Sicore of Warsaw on an active Lincoln warrant.

Sedalia Police arrested Elizabeth Walters for driving while revoked.
