Sedalia Police and Fire Department Respond To Residential Fire

Early this morning (Nov. 20), the Sedalia Police Department and Sedalia Fire Department went to 316 East Saline for a residential fire. Upon arrival there were flames on the back side of the home. All occupants made it safely out of the home and nobody was injured. The Sedalia Fire Department determined a space heater in the south bedroom caused the fire.

Two arrests Occur in Sedalia

Yesterday afternoon (Nov. 19), Sedalia Police received a report that a woman was a victim of harassment. She has received threatening text messages and sexually explicit photos. The Sedalia Police Department found the suspect, Joshua Andrews, and arrested him for harassment and furnishing pornography to minors.

Pettis County Deputies received a report that a man in the 300 Block of South Lamine had lost a vehicle tag sometime since Nov. 14.

Theft from a vehicle reported Thursday morning

At 8 o’clock Monday morning Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 1100 block of South Lamine on a theft from a motor vehicle complaint. Upon arrival the victim told officers she had placed an item in her vehicle last Thursday, and just noticed Monday morning, that it was missing. The item, which was not identified in the police report was valued at $100. There were no suspects in the case.
