Update on Body Found Over Weekend

The Pettis County Sheriff's Department announced that the autopsy was conducted on 61-year-old Ivan Laster Jr, who was found dead in the Happy Acres Trailer Park over the weekend. The autopsy concluded that Laster Jr. had died of natural causes and the the case has been considered closed by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.

Update on Missing Person From Pettis County

The Pettis County Sheriff's Office is still looking for information in regard to the whereabouts of Alan K. Nalder III. He was reported to be missing on March 7 and was last seen in the area of Crystal Sprinds Road and Highway 127 on foot. The Sheriff's Office has received some leads that they are following, but until those leads are substantiated, Nalder is still considered missing. Several Thefts Reported

Sedalia Police and the Sedalia Fire Department responded to the area of Wilkerson and South Harrison this morning (Mar. 12) at 12:45, on a report of a strong odor of natural gas in the area. Sedalia Police found that two homes were burglarized and copper gas lines were removed from the homes.

Roadrunner Auto Sales at 1615 East Broadway reported a green 1998 Chevy S-10 Blazer, valued at $3,695, was stolen between Noon on Mar. 9 and 8 a.m. on Mar. 11.

A woman in the 21000 Block of Bloudin reported that some speakers and scrap metal were stolen from her home between 4 and 5 p.m. on Mar. 7.

Sedalia Police Make Two Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Christopher Duffey for failure to appear for illegally taking wildlife, bond set at $1,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested David Dotson for forging license plate tickets.
