26-year-old Sedalia man arrested at Walmart on Monday afternoon

Monday afternoon, Sedalia police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a shoplifter. Upon contact with asset protection personnel, officers were told that the suspect, 26-year-old Jewin Callaway of Sedalia had left the store with items without paying for them. A computer check on Callaway revealed an active failure to appear warrant for driving while revoked. At the time of the police report, Callaway was being held in the Pettis County Jail pending a $2500 bond on the warrant. The police report also says state charges of stealing are also being sought in the case.

Henry County accident involving a deer results in minor injuries for a Clinton man

At 7:45 Sunday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway “7” one mile North of Urich in Henry County. According to the accident report, the accident occurred when the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 38-year-old Leonard Cooper of Clinton struck a deer. Cooper was wearing his seat belt and suffered only minor injuries in the crash, which caused moderate damage to his vehicle. Cooper was taken to Golden Valley Hospital by private vehicle for treatment.

31-year-old Columbia woman suffers minor injuries in a Saline County accident

Around 6:20 Sunday evening, 31-year-old Jennifer Feltner of Columbia received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that happened on Eastbound I-70 at mile marker 86.2 in Saline County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report states the accident occurred as the 2007 Toyota driven by Feltner traveled off of the roadway, and struck a median guard cable. Feltner was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.

Two-vehicle accident in Johnson County injures a Warrensburg woman

At 11:10 Monday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident that happened on Business “13” at Southeast 250 in Johnson County. According to the report, the accident occurred as a 2006 Ford driven by 59-year-old Terri Carl of Warrensburg was stopped on Business 13 to make a left turn, when a 2000 GMC Sierra driven by 18-year-old Dillon Kuhlman struck the vehicle in the rear. Carl was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of what were described as minor injuries.
