Sedalia police and Hawaiian authorities investigating a case of sexual assault

According to a Sedalia Police report, Sedalia Police received a call from the Pettis County Children’s Division on Tuesday afternoon in reference to a sexual assault against a child that occurred in Hawaii. The police report states the Sedalia Police Department and the Pettis County Children’s Division will be assisting the agency in Hawaii with their investigation because the victim lives in Sedalia.

Sedalia Police receive multiple vandalism reports involving a BB gun

On Wednesday, the Sedalia Police Department received four complaints from victims whose vehicles were shot by what appears to be a BB gun. The incidents occurred in the 1700 block of East 4th, 400 block of East 13th, 400 block of East 12th and the 200 block of South Stewart. The victim’s believe the vandalism took place during the overnight hours.

Teen arrested during a warrant check Wednesday night

Around 10 p.m. Wednesday night, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check at a residence in Buckner Court. Upon contact with the suspect, 18-year-old Dylan Seevers of Sedalia, the warrant for a Sedalia Municipal Warrant was confirmed through dispatch. Seevers was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $200 cash only bond.

Warrant check on South Stewart results in arrest for a 27-year-old man

Just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1600 block of South Stewart. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect identified as 27-year-old Margaret Keele of the residence. A check through dispatch confirmed the warrant. Keele was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 cash only bond.

Sedalia man arrested on a warrant Wednesday

On Wednesday, Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Merle Piers of Sedalia on an active failure to appear warrant. Bond on the warrant was set at $202.50.

Warsaw woman arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop Wednesday night

At 7:11 Wednesday night, the Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Moniteau for a defective headlight. A subsequent check through dispatch revealed the driver, Zoey LaFavor of Warsaw, was suspended. She was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked and released with a court date.
