The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Feb. 27, 2013.

Sex Crime from last year under investigation

On Tuesday, a subject came to the police station to report a possible sex crime that took place between July 4 and Aug. 20, 2012. The police report states the incident is currently under investigation.

39-year-old Sedalia woman arrested early this (Wednesday) morning for assault

At 3:00 this (Wednesday) morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of West 4th on a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the victim and the suspect told officers the suspect, 39-year-old Jennifer Mather of Sedalia, had kicked the chair from under the male victim, then pushed him out of a glass window, causing injuries. Mather was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond on a domestic assault charge.

Traffic stop at 16th and Carr results in arrest for two suspects

On Tuesday, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 16th and Carr on a vehicle check. The police report states when the officer approached the vehicle, the odor of marijuana was detected. A search of the vehicle uncovered the drug. The two-occupants, identified as 19-year-old Samuel Perez and 17-year-old Dominic Glanden, both of Sedalia, were arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending bonds of $533.50 each.

Intoxicated man arrested on a probation violation warrant this (Wednesday) morning

Just after midnight this (Wednesday) morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to the area of 16th and Osage on an intoxicated person walking in the area. The police report states when the officers approached the man, he fell down in the roadway. A check through dispatch revealed the man, 37-year-old Robert Salmons of Sedalia, had a probation violation warrant out of Pettis County. Salmons was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending $1500 bond on the warrant.

Traffic stop nets a female suspect with a Dallas County Warrant

Just before 11:00 Tuesday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Grand with no rear license plate. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, officers found the passenger, 18-year-old Kyndal Wolfe of Sedalia, had an active warrant out of Dallas County for failure to appear. Wolfe was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $100 cash only bond.

Casey’s at 1601 East Broadway reports a fake $50 bill

On Wednesday, the Casey’s store at 1601 East Broadway reported a customer had attempted to purchase merchandise with what appeared to be a fake $50 bill. The customer left the bill and left the store. The police took the bill and placed it into evidence.
