The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Tuesday, March 15, 2014.

Warrant check results in arrest for a Sedalia suspect

At 3:13 Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 3300 block of West 10th Street on a warrant check. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Angela Lee Barney. Following confirmation of the warrant, Barney was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending an $8000 bond on the warrant for child neglect non-support.

Burglary investigated in the 400 block of East 7th Street

Around 10:45 Friday morning, a victim in the 400 block of East 7th Street reported a burglary. The police report states the apartment door was damaged and the victim reported that some unspecified items had been stolen from the home.

Stove stolen from a woman’s driveway

Just before 6:30 Monday evening, a woman in the 1600 block of South Prospect reported that a stove that had a for sale sign on it was taken from her driveway, . The stove is cream colored. There were no suspects at news time.

Plaza 16 reports a theft of batteries

Plaza 16 located at 120 East 16th reported that a passenger in a blue pickup took a package of 4 batteries without paying for them. Value of the batteries was placed at $6:69.
