Sedalia man turns himself in on a parole violation warrant

Just after 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, 33-year-old Carl Nagy turned himself in at the Sedalia police station on a parole violation warrant. Upon confirmation of the warrant out of Jefferson City, Nagy was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant.

Vehicle check results in arrest for a Sedalia man on drug-related charges

At 1:55 this morning, Sedalia police conducted a vehicle check on a vehicle at a closed business at Broadway and Kentucky. Upon contact with the driver, 34-year-old James Smith of Sedalia, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report, Smith was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Female suspect arrested Tuesday following a theft complaint from Break Time

Around 11:30 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to the Break Time at 318 West Broadway on a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the complainant told officers a female had stolen items from the store and was walking down the street. Police arrested 21-year-old Lasabrah Hester of Sedalia and transported her to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1067 bond on a charge of stealing. 

Local business reports a case of vandalism on Tuesday 

At 4:45 Tuesday afternoon, a complainant with Mark’s Mobile Glass located at 208 West 2nd reported that someone had cut the phone and computer lines behind the business. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Thieves steal a license plate in the 1800 block of South Grand Tuesday morning

Tuesday morning, a victim in the 1800 block of South Grand reported the theft of a license plate from his vehicle while it was parked in front of his house. The number on the license plate is 5WR-357, and the registration expires in 2014. There was no information on possible suspects.
