The following Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the afternoon of Aug. 29, 2013.

Two Sedalia residents arrested during traffic stop Wednesday night

At 8:19 Wednesday night, Sedalia police attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of 7th and Emmitt with a passenger known to have an active warrant. The vehicle refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. When the vehicle was finally stopped, the passenger exited and attempted to flee. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Christopher Waggoner of Sedalia, was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. After the no-bond probation and parole violation on Waggoner was confirmed, he was taken to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of an additional charge of resisting arrest. The police report states the driver, 29-year-old Kelly Littlepage of Sedalia, was also arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. At the time of the police report Littlepage was on 24-hour hold pending formal charged.

Thefts from a motor vehicle reported on West 10th this morning

Around 8:00 this morning, Sedalia police responded to an apartment in the 3200 block of West 10th on a report of thefts from a motor vehicle. According to the victim, someone entered his vehicle sometime overnight and stole a laptop computer and his wallet containing his driver’s license and social security card. The vehicle was parked in front of the residence at the time of the thefts. There were no suspects.

Vehicle radiator stolen from a woman’s garage on West 4th

On Wednesday afternoon, a female victim in the 900 block of West 10th reported the theft of a 1988 Chevrolet Truck radiator from her garage. The victim placed the value of the used radiator at around $125. There were no suspects.

Marshall Man injured in a Saline County accident this morning

At 12:07 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Saline County Sheriff’s Department investigated a one-vehicle injury accident on Melody Avenue and 270th Road in Saline County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet S10, 36-year-old David Derboven of Marshall, lost control of his vehicle at high speed, slid across the roadway and struck a ditch. Derboven received moderate injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County Ambulance for treatment.

Minor injuries reported in a Benton County accident Wednesday afternoon

Just before 1:00 Wednesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 52 West of Tobacco Road in Benton County. The accident reportedly happened when the 2000 Nissan driven by 45-year-old Melody Sloma of Marshall lost control of her vehicle as she crested a hill, crossed the centerline, overcorrected, then crossed the centerline again and ran off the roadway. Sloma received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Colecamp EMS personnel.

Saline County accident reported Tuesday morning resulted in minor injuries

Around 7:49 Tuesday morning, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 240 East of Sparrow Lane in Saline County. The accident occurred as the 2005 KIA driven by 54-year-old Ava Harris of Marshall slowed for traffic and was struck in the rear by the 2013 Ford driven by 25-year-old Brett Craigmyle of Shelbyville. Harris suffered minor injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital by EMS for treatment.
