The following Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the afternoon of Dec. 19, 2013.

Sedalia man arrested on assault and child endangerment

At 2:34 this morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1800 block of South Harrison on a disturbance. Dispatch informed the officers that a 911 hang up call was received, and during a call back, crying could be heard in the background. Upon arrival, a female victim told the officers a male suspect identified as 28-year-old Julian Deitas of the residence had assaulted her while she was holding their small child. Deitas left the residence when the police were called according to the victim. Deitas was located approximately an hour later and arrested. At the time of the police report, Deitas was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending formal charges of third degree domestic assault, and child endangerment.

Three Warrensburg residents injured in a two vehicle accident this morning

Around 8:45 this morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two vehicle accident on County Road Southeast 180 East of Business 13 in Johnson County. The accident occurred as a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 29-year-old Kisha Coots of Warrensburg made a left turn onto County Road 180, and entered the path of the 2002 Dodge Dakota driven by 16-year-old Zachary Nowlin, also of Warrensburg. Coots and her passengers, 45-year-old Tammy Coots and 50-year-old Robert Olivarez of Warrensburg were not wearing seat belts and received minor injuries in the accident. All three victims were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance for treatment.
