Sedalia man arrested on a failure to appear warrant

At 4:15 this morning, Sedalia police responded to a residence in the 500 block of South Lafayette on a warrant check. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, 33-year-old Summer Teeter of the residence. Following confirmation of the warrant, officers arrested Teeter and transported her to the Pettis County Jail pending a $4900 bond on the failure to appear warrant for dangerous drugs.

Thief cooks food as they burglarize an apartment on South Osage

Around 1:20 this morning, Sedalia police took a burglary complaint from a male victim at his apartment in the 1300 block of Osage. According to the victim, he had been away from his apartment for four days, and when he returned he found someone had forced a window on the east side of the residence open to gain entry to his apartment. The victim told officers the thief or thieves took some CDs and clothing from the apartment. The victim also stated the thief or thieves cooked some food while they were in the apartment. There was no other information at news time.

Property damage reported to a vehicle in the 2100 block of South Warren Thursday night

At 10:16 Thursday night, Sedalia police investigated a property damage complaint from a male victim in the 2100 block of South Warren. The victim told officers sometime after 7:00 Thursday night, someone broke a side window and damaged the windshield of his vehicle. There was no damage estimate and no information on the suspect or suspects was contained in the police report.

Pettis County accident injures a 31-year-old motorcycle rider Thursday evening

Just before 6:30 Thursday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on Route “B” and “AA” in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred when the driver of a 2008 Kawasaki, 31-year-old Cletus Brown of Sedalia, lost control of the motorcycle, traveled off the roadway and overturned, ejecting Brown. Brown was taken by EMS to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.
