Sedalia Police reports 4-29-19

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of South Engineer just after 9:30 last Monday night. Loud and irate individuals were contacted upon arrival. Investigation revealed that two suspects had chased another suspect from their property with a shovel and a club. They also caused damage to each others' car. There were no arrests made, but a request for two county of 4th degree assault and two counts of property damage were submitted to the prosecutor.

While investigating a theft report on Monday morning at Sutherland's, 3808 South Limit, in which a suspect allegedly stole three shopping carts full of merchandise, Sedalia Police say the suspect returned to Sutherland's and stole more merchandise for a total value of $5,640.63. The suspect, 30-year-old James William Dingus Fague of Sedalia, was later located and arrested. Fague was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail, and charged with stealing.

Sedalia Police took an assault report on Thursday night from a victim who said that his neighbor punched him and threw him down the stairs in the 100 block of E. 13th. 25-year-old Jeffrey I. Wheeler was issued a court summons after an investigation.


 

Sedalia Police responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center on a sex crime report that possibly occurred in the 900 block of Mitchell Road, after a woman came to the ER with bleeding issues on Thursday afternoon. The staff thought it was suspicious and contacted police. An investigation is under way.

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a green Nissan Altima at 11th and Massachusetts around 7:30 p.m. April 23. The Altima was bearing plates that belonged to another vehicle. A computer check revealed that a passenger, 21-year-old Christian Michael Robert Boone of Pettis County, was wanted on a Municipal warrant and a Pettis County warrant for a total bond amount of $15,098. He now has a May 8 court date.


 

RCL Wiring report the theft of $37,000 of cable that was stolen sometime within the past month and a half. Investigation is under way.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a prisoner transfer around 11 p.m. on April 24 at the Henry-Pettis county line. 38-year-old Brook Nickole Bale of Windsor was wanted on two Municipal warrants, one for larceny and the other for marijuana possession. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $400 cash bond.


 

After checking on a vehicle parked behind Motel 6, 3402 W. Broadway, Thursday night around 3 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 43-year-old Enrique Reyes Cook on a Pettis County warrant for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford passenger vehicle at Boonville and Engineer on Thursday just after 5 a.m. for a defective brake light. A computer check revealed 49-year-old James B. McDonald was wanted on a Cass County warrant for felony drug possession. McDonald was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $5,000 bond (10% cash).


 

Sedalia Police responded to WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway on a shoplifter in custody. According to a report, 19-year-old Destiny F. Maggard of Sedalia allegedly removed the tags off several items and concealed them in her purse. She then attempted to leave the store with paying for $115.22 of items. Management detained her and called police. Maggard was issued a Municipal summons with a June 19 court date.


 

On Saturday morning, a woman reported that her 2000 Chevy Silverado was stolen from the 200 block of E. Jackson. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Friday night and 8 a.m. Saturday morning.


 

Jacolby S. Monteer, 20, of Mora, was arrested after Sedalia Police investigated a traffic crash Broadway and Highway M around noon Friday. Monteer was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved. He was wanted on two Saline County warrants, each with a $500 bond. He now has a May 15 court date.


 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 31-year-old Simon G. Burns of Ionia at 7:39 a.m. Sunday morning in Henry County. Burns was taken to the Henry County Jail, where was booked and released. He is being charged with exceeding the posted speed limit, felony possession of meth and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
