Sedalia Police reports 8-2-19

Sedalia Police arrested 18-year-old Jacob Andrew Baker of Sedalia at 12:57 a.m. Thursday after officers responded to a burglary call in the 1200 block of South Osage. The suspect was seen walking away from the area and was observed drinking alcohol on the sidewalk. A subsequent search revealed he was in possession of a .45 caliber handgun in his waistband. Baker, a convicted felon was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a concealable weapon, and minor in possession of alcohol. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on an SUV with no plate lights at 16th and Washington July 29. A computer check of the driver, 25-year-old Rodrigo Marcos Quetzacue Marcos of Sedalia, was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $1500 cash or surety bond, and a Municipal warrant with a $150 cash bond. He was also driving while suspended and had no proof of insurance. Marcos was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a Sept. 11 court date.


 

24-year-old Drew Taylor Abney of Sedalia was served with a Municipal warrant while he was in the Pettis County Jail, 319 S. Lamine, on Thursday morning. Bond was $150 and he now has a Sept. 11 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Marshall on a red Saturn at 8 p.m. Wednesday on a vehicle with a defective brake light. The driver was found to be driving while suspended out of Florida. He also had no proof of insurance. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white van at 17th and Lamine Wednesday around 3:40 p.m. The driver, 40-year-old Angela Ilene Teeter of Sedalia, was found to be driving while revoked. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a pickup with improper registration on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Main and Industrial. 35-year-old Meri Jo Martinez was found to be driving while suspended. She was taken to the pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

On Sunday afternoon, WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, reported that several items stolen by one subject, was later returned by another for a fraudulent refund by another.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 16th and Washington Wednesday around 2 p.m. The driver, 23-year-old Samantha Jo Carter, was found to be driving while suspended. Carter was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

On Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Nicholas DaQuan Levine of Sedalia at Municipal Court, 201 W. 2nd. He was wanted on two Johnson County warrants and one Warrensburg PD warrant. His total bond amount was $850.


 

On Wednesday around 9:40 a.m., Sedalia Police took a report from a woman who said 45 20-foot deck boards fell from a trailer near 3rd and Limit between 5:50 and 5:45 a.m. The boards' estimated value was set at $2,331.
