Sedalia Police crime reports 8-28-18

Sedalia Police arrested 31-year-old John Michael Bea of Troy, Mo., after he allegedly drank two bottles of juice and ate some grapes while walking around Woods West, 1400 S. Limit, around 8:40 p.m. Monday evening. He was unable to pay for the items and he was then taken into custody at the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold and charged with stealing.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 300 block of E. 11th and arrested 46-year-old Christopher William Crouch of Pettis County at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday. He was wanted on a no-bond parole violation. Crouch was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1200 block of S. Garfield on a deceased man at 7:43 p.m. Monday. The elderly man appeared to have died from natural causes and no foul play is suspected. The Pettis County coroner and a funeral home were contacted to respond to the location.


 

On Monday afternoon, a woman reported the theft of several cards, valued at $49, from a vehicle in the parking lot at 1310 S. Marshall. Some of the items were recovered a few blocks away and returned to the owner. There are no suspects.


 

Boost Mobile, 1400 S. Limit, reported a series of thefts that occurred between May 1 and Aug. 27. A total loss of $1,003 was reported by the business.


 

Also, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 59-year-old Chris Toalson of Sedalia just after 9 o'clock Sunday in Pettis County. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated (persistent offender). He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 12-hour hold.
