Sedalia Police reports 8-9-19

Sedalia Police contacted a subject sitting outside a closed business at 601 S. Ohio on Thursday at 12:24 a.m. 26-year-old Jerrad T. Gilpin was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was also wanted for a parole violation. Gilpin was transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond on the warrant.


 

Sedalia Polcie conducted a traffic stop at 145 a.m. at 2401 W. Broadway on a truck with blue plate lights instead of white. A computer check revealed that an occupant of the truck, 19-year-old Jordon Roy Durland of Sedalia, was wanted on two Municipal warrants for $60 each. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a Sept. 11 court date.


 

Sedalia Police contacted two people wearing backpacks and walking with traffic eastbound on 14th at Grand Wednesday at 11:07 p.m. One of them, 43-year-old Jennifer Lynn Doherty of Sedalia was found to be in possession of meth. She also had a meth pipe concealed in her clothing, according to a report. Doherty was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

On Wednesday at 10:55 p.m., Sedalia Police were called to the 4000 block of West Main on a domestic assault disturbance. The victim had already been taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. Arrested was 40-year-old Michael James Tackitt for 2nd degree domestic assault.


 

41-year-old Rebecca Ruth Alarcon of Sedalia was arrested for driving while suspended at 7th and Engineer Wednesday at 11:04 p.m. She was issued a citation and a court date.


57-year-old Angela Jean McCartney was arrested on a $99 Municipal warrant at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Lewis Circle. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a traffic accident at 16th and Limit at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday. One of the parties involved had already exited his vehicle when police arrived. He smelled of alcohol and was slurring his speech. He first agreed to a BAC tesm but then refused. 23-year-old Jack Lamb was then taken to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample. His BAC was reportedly above .08 percent. Lamb was issued a citation with a Sept. 4 court date.


 

On Aug. 4 at 11:30 p.m., a woman reported a hit-and-run accident in the 3000 block of South Limit. She provided police with a vehicle description and plate number, but the suspect has not yet been located.
