Sedalia Police reports 12-6-19

On Thursday, at 8:15 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Caleb Paul Bartlett of Sedalia during a warrant check in the 1800 block of South Grand. Bartlett was wanted on Municipal and Pettis County warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a total bond amount of $775.50. He was also listed as a missing person, the report said.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Tyler N. Rusk of Sedalia on Wednesday morning. According to a report, Rusk refused to come out of a residence in the 1600 block of W. 9th while police were conducting a warrant check. He later came out and was taken into custody. Rusk was wanted on three Pettis County warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond. He was also charged with resisting arrest.


 

24-year-old Patricia K. Ryan of Independence and 29-year-old Travis Dale Martin of Sedalia were both arrested Wednesday in a missing cell phone case. Ryan was wanted on a no-bond Pettis County warrant, while Martin was wanted on a Benton County warrant for non support, as well as drug possession. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a green Chevy car at 2nd and Parl at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday for failure to signal a turn. A computer check revealed that the passenger, 23-year-old Carol Pauline Schnirch of Sedalia was wanted on a Municipal warrant for a traffic offense. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond. She now has a Dec. 11 court date.


 

Sedalia Police took a report from a woman in the 2500 block of Wing Avenue on Wednesday. She reported that someone entered her vehicle and stole $15 in loose change sometime overnight.


 

35-year-old Nicole Lynne Spellmeyer of Sedalia was arrested Wednesday in the 200 block of S. Moniteau for three Municipal warrants with a total bond amount of $320 after Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail. Spellmeyer now has a Dec. 18 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to stop at a stop sign Wednesday at Howard and Emmet Avenue. 30-year-old Timothy Linell Peck of Sedalia was arrested for no valid operator's license. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

On Sunday, a man reported that someone entered his apartment in the 500 block of West 3rd and stole some of his belongings while he was out of town.


 

Sedalia Police released a report from July 1 involving a sexual assault involving a juvenile victim in the 400 block of West Morgan. Charges are being requested.
