Sedalia Police Crime Reports for July 10, 2019
Sedalia Police arrested a man wielding a hatchet who was trying to break into the caller's vehicle on Sunday night in the 200 block of W. 10th around 9:15 p.m. 32-year-old William D. Baltes was located in an alley and was intoxicated, according to a report. Baltes was placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold. He was also charged with harassment.
On Monday, Sedalia Police attempted to contact a subject known to have a Pettis County warrant at 18th and Engineer. When approached, he took off running south on Engineer. The officer caught up with him a short time later, and ordered him to the ground at Taser point. 42-year-old Bobby J. Moore of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. His bond was $230 on the warrant.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration at 16th and Missouri at 11:40 p.m. Monday night. A computer check revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Benton County. The vehicle was towed.
