Sedalia Police crime reports 7-17-17

Sedalia Police arrested Joshua James Corpier, 33, Sedalia, on charges of 4th degree Domestic Assault and Harassment after officers responded to the 2200 block of South Ohio on a domestic assault call July 13 at 11:35 p.m. According to the report, Corpier threw an ash tray at the victim and a witness, shattering the ash tray against the wall. The victim was cut by some of the glass, the report said. Corpier was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


Ricky L. Bailey, II, Pettis County, was arrested by Sedalia Police in the 700 block of E. Broadway after a traffic stop at 10:53 p.m. July 14. Bailey was charged with Driving While Suspended, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Register with the DOR. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


On July 13, Tanner Huffman reported the theft of his 1995 Toyota Tacoma from his residence in the 1500 block of S. Stewart between 9 and 11 p.m. There are no suspects.


Belinda Gayle Manion, 49, Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop for expired plates at 8:43 a.m. July 14 at Clarendon and Southwest Blvd. She was also wanted on a municipal warrant (animals running at large). She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked on a $150 cash bond.


Jonathan A. Riley, 35, Independence, turned himself in to police on a Muncipal warrant for peace disturbance on July 14. He now has a court date of Aug. 16.


Machezne Jasmyn Gabrielle Capps, 20, Pettis County, was arrested on a Municipal warrant for no insurance July 14. She now has a court date of Aug. 16.


Rebekah L. Cover, 38, Sedalia, was arrested on a Lawrence County warrant for non-support at 3:30 a.m. July 15. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
