Sedalia Police reports 6-10-19

Sedalia Police arrested three teens after receiving a report of a side of a building being spray painted around 2 a.m. Friday at 223 E. 3rd. Arrested were 17-year-old Emily G. Brown of Memphis, Mo., 18-year-old Saydrianne G. Surgean of Arbela, Mo., and 19-year-old Michael Seth Harvey of Sedalia. All three were taken to the Pettis County Jail and charged with 1st degree property damage. It was estimated that it will cost around $750 to repair the damage to the building and a fence.


 

Otten Small Engine, 2617 E. Broadway, reported that on Tuesday, June 4 a subject came in and purchased $2100 of lawn equipment. It was later discovered that he used a fake check to make the purchase. Video footage of the suspect was turned over to Sedalia Police.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Donald R. Knox, Jr., of Sedalia after a short foot pursuit in the area of 318 W. Broadway around 8:20 p.m. Saturday. According to a report, Knox was seen walking away from a disturbance at Break Time. When asked to stop by an officer, Knox turned and fled. Knox was later taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold. He faces charges of resisting arrest, peace disturbance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Wabash Drive at 1:25 a.m. Sunday. 24-year-old Zachary Taylor Fisher was found to be in possession of Amphetamine. A computer check revealed he was also wanted on a Cooper County warrant. Fisher was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $7,500 bond. After his arrest, marijuana was also found on him at the jail.


 

On June 7, Sedalia Police responded to a report of a man standing in the eastbound lanes of the 2300 block of East Broadway at 12:10 a.m. According to a report, passing vehicles were swerving to avoid hitting the man. The report added that the man appeared to be very intoxicated. 32-year-old David C. Macias of Sedalia was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 12-hour hold for safekeeping, until he was sober.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1500 block of West Broadway at 10:45 a.m. June 9. 19-year-old Serena Downling of Sedalia was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond. Downling now has an August 6 court date.


 

On June 8, a man reported to police that he lost his wallet at a car wash at 4211 Wisconsin. Video surveillance revealed that someone picked it up. The wallet was not turned in at the time of the report. The case is being sent to the prosecutor.


 

Christopher William Crouch, 46, Sedalia, was arrested by Sedalia Police June 8 in the 300 block of West 3rd on a Pettis County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail. He now has a July 30 court date.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a call of children playing in the street unattended in the 1000 block of South Vermont on June 4. According to a report, the adults were found inside the house sleeping. A computer check revealed that 51-year-old Meseky Barnes was wanted on a Lafayette County warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash bond. She now has a June 19 court date.
