Sedalia Police reports 6-11-19

Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Cheyenne Rose Sutherland of Sedalia after responding to a business alarm in the 300 block of West Broadway at 1:26 a.m. Saturday. According to a report, three people were seen walking away from the business. One of them (Sutherland) had two active warrants – Benton County and Saline County. The Saline County warrant had a bond amount of $5,000 and a June 26 court date. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police attempted to stop a white Pontiac Gran Prix for failure to stop at a stop sign at 12th and Montgomery Sunday around 8:30 p.m., when the vehicle failed to stop and led the officer on a pursuit through the city. The pursuit was terminated when the Gran Prix left the city limits southbound on Kentucky.


 

A car stop at 5th and Emmet led to the arrest of two Devins at 11:30 p.m. Friday night. A traffic stop for a defective tail light was conducted, and a consent to search yielded marijuana in the vehicle, arrested were Devin D. Dotson and Devin A.T. Anderson, both 17, of Sedalia. They were charged with possession of marijuana.


Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 19th and Center around 8:40 p.m. June 6. 31-year-old Dylan W. London of Edwards was found to have three active warrants. Two were Municipal warrants totaling $120 with a court date of July 10. The other was out of Benton County with $200 bond.


 

Crystal Gayle Johnson, 42, Sedalia, was arrested on a Municipal warrant June 6 in the 1000 block of E. Brodway. Johnson was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 cash bond. She now has an August 19 court date.


 

James E. Miller, 47, was arrested for shoplifting and 1st degree burglary after he was caught on camera stealing several items at WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, on June 6. Miller was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing plates that belonged to another after the driver made an improper turn at Broadway and Warren shortly after 11 p.m. June 7. 37-year-old Joshua Ryan Gilmore was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. He now has an August 14 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger with no front plate at Main and Park around 10:15 p.m. June 7. A computer check of the driver, Martez L. Troy of Sedalia, revealed he was driving while revoked. Troy was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a July 17 court date.


 

On June 8, a woman reported the theft of three potted plants from her residence in the 2000 block of E. 14th. The plants were valued at $65.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Main and Park around 12:50 a.m. June 9. One of the occupants, 20-year-old Jacob R. Gibbs of Sedalia, was wanted on a Benton County warrant. Gibbs was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $600 cash or surety bond. He now has a July 8 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 1300 block of Harrison on June 8. 39-year-old James Allen Thorne was wanted on a Municipal warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $225 bond. He now has an August 7 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 45-year-old Brian M. Welch of Windsor on a Pettis County warrant around 10:15 p.m. June 10 at 120 E. 16th. Welch was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond. He now has a June 25 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration at 9th and Summit June 7 around 8:20 p.m. The driver, 43-year-old Ricky B. Longie, was found to be driving while revoked. He was released from the scene.


 

On June 7, a man reported the theft of a trailer valued at $900 from the 200 block of E. Morgan. The theft occurred sometime between June 4 & 7.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a silver Pontiac van for a defective headlight at 17th and Vermont June 5 around 11:40 p.m. 37-year-old Jimmy Lee Linley of Sedalia was found to be driving while suspended. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no front plate and expired registration at 12:47 a.m. June 6 at Broadway and Thompson Road. A computer check revealed that 27-year-old Carlos Hernandez was driving while suspended. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Massachusetts shortly after 11 p.m. June 8. The driver, 24-year-old Brittany Michelle Hall of Smithton, was found to be driving while suspended. She also had no proof of insurance. Hall was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. She now has an August 14 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration at 15th and Kentucky at 8:25 p.m. June 6. A consent to search the vehicle resulted in the arrest of 50-year-old Anna Marie Kroenke of Sedalia. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 36-year-old Mario Alberto Madrid of Sedalia at 216 W. Broadway and charged him with 1st degree burglary and shoplifting around 8:40 p.m. June 5. According to a report, Madrid was not allowed in Fav Trip. He allegedly stole $3.26 in merchandise from the store. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
