Sedalia Police reports 6-24-19
Sedalia Police arrested 43-year-old Karl Lee Buettner of Sedalia for assault around 10 p.m. June 21. According to a report, the victim had facial injuries, but refused medical treatment. The suspect was located and was issued a Municipal summons for assault with a July 24 court date.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Morgan and Washington at 8:55 p.m. June 21. The diver, 22-year-old Keiasha Jackson of Sedlaia was charged with possession of marijuana, and the occupant, 24-year-old Precious Aalyiah Cline of Riverside, was wanted on two FTA warrants. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On June 23 around 5:30 p.m., Sedalia Police took a report at Fitter's, 500 S. Ohio, after a minor presented a fake ID to obtain alcohol. Charges of minor in possession, misrepresentation of age and forgery are being sought against the suspect.
On Saturday, Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of W. 10th. Missing was a 2000 Mazda Protege, taken between June 18 and 22. The vehicle was parked with a seized engine, the report stated. The vehicle was later recovered.
39-year-old Jeffrey S. Sandlin of Sedalia was arrested by Sedalia Police after an officer observed multiple traffic violations. The car stop took place at 5th and Summit at 1:51 a.m. The diver did poorly on a field sobriety test and was taken to the SPD, where a breath sample showed he was above the legal limit. Sandlin was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released to a sober person. He now has an Aug. 14 court date.
Sedalia Police took a report at Subway, 100 W. Broadway, on June 23. According to a report, the suspect paid for his order with a $20, then cancelled his order whlie she was getting his change. She gave him his $20 back, but he claimed it was the wrong amount, so she gave him another $20.
22-year-old Dillon James Pettis of Hughesville was arrested by Sedalia Police for driving while suspended after a traffic stop for no working plate light at Main and Industrial at 2:27 a.m. June 22. Pettis was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police responded to a vehicle fire at 705 W. 2nd on June 22 at 4:05 a.m. It was determined that the fire was inetentionally set. No arrests were made.
On June 22, Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Mathew Saunders of Sedalia after they received a report of someone looking into people's houses. According to a report, Saunders attempted to steal a bike and also was accused of entering a woman's home and stealing tools. He was charges with two counts of stealing, possession of illegal drugs, 2nd degree burglary, and 2nd degree trespassing. Saunders was also wanted on a probation violation warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On June 18, a woman reported she was scammed out of $1900 through Facebook Marketplace while trying to purchase a vehicle. She later learned the suspect “sold” the same vehicle 10 times through the scam.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a van that ran a red light at Broadway and Thompson Blvd., at 3:48 a.m. June 20. The driver, Carl Michael Anthony Ortiz Torres, was found to be driving while suspended out of Wyoming. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police patrolling Liberty Park on June 21 at 4:09 a.m., discovered a subject in the park after hours. 46-year-old Christopher W. Crouch of Sedalia was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $7,500 cash or surety bond.
Sedalia Police responded to the area of 612 S. Hancock after receiving a report of gunshots in the area. An officer located a subject going through a dumpster at Open Door Thrift Store. A computer check revealed that 23-year-old Daryan Michael Harrison was wanted on a Pettis County warrant and a Municipal warrant. He was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Sedalia Police took a forgery report at Lend Nation, 818 S. Limit, on June 19. A person attempted to cash a fake check in the amount of $3,250.25.
Sedalia Police arrested 36-year-old Victoria M. McGee on a felony Boone County warrant at Motel 6, 3402 W. Broadway, on June 20. McGee was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond.
Sedalia Police arrested 39-year-old Jeremiah Jones of Sedalia after responding to a disturbance in the 900 block of E. 9th on June 21. Jones had left the scene prior to officers' arrival, but was later located. He was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. His bond was $250 cash. He now has a July 30 court date.
Sedalia Police arrested Melissa S. Franken, 35, on June 21 around 7:30 p.m. after responding to a disturbance at Econolodge, 3501 W. Broadway. A computer check revealed that Franken was wanted on an FTA warrant for driving while suspended. Her bond was $60 cash.
Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance at Econolodge, 3501 W. Broadway, at 8:30 p.m. June 22. The suspect, 39-year-old Jason R. Vestal, was later located at WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, and arrested. He was charged with 4th degree assault for striking a woman, and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
Sedalia Police arrested 54-year-old Jeffery L. Waters of Sedalia in the 1700 block of E. 7th on Friday after responding to a domestic disturbance call in which his roommate was injured. Waters was wanted on a parole violation. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.
Sedalia Police arrested 45-year-old Dianna Sue Smith of Sedalia for driving while revoked after a traffic stop for no working license plate light at 5th and Vermont Saturday at 12:25 a.m. Smith was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.
Sedalia Police arrested 19-year-old Zachary Tyler Allison at 16th and Grand at 1:32 a.m. Saturday. He was wanted on two Municipal FTA warrants. Allison was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $120 cash bond. He now has a July 7 court date.
32-year-old Joseph Kulian was arrested for DWI at 5th and Limit June 17 at 5:35 a.m. He was also charged with driving while suspended. Kulian was also wanted on an FTA Johnson County warrant with a $399 cash bond. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
On June 10, Sedalia Police took a burglary report that occurred in the 600 block of E. 13th on May 11. Suspect info was provided to police.
On June 17, Sedalia Police took a damage report from a representative of Wesley UMC, 1322 W. Broadway, on a slashed tire on a trailer belonging to the church. Video footage of the incident was provided to police.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 49-year-old Larry L. Knowles of Warsaw at 3:09 p.m. in Benton County. He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on a felony probation and parole warrant. Knowles was transported to the Benton County Jail with no bond.
