Area crime reports 5-28-18

Sedalia Police arrested 41-year-old Christopher Eye of Sedalia after responding to a disturbance at Cork 'N Bottle, 3806 E. Broadway, at 10:46 p.m. Friday. He was reportedly one of two males fighting in the store. The one who left the scene prior to officers' arrival has been identified and charges will be submitted.


 

Four people were arrested for minors in possession of alcohol after Sedalia Police responded to an apartment in the 900 block of Westwood at 12:50 a.m. Sunday on a noise complaint. Four of the subjects reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol under the age of 21. Those who were issued a summons with a court date were 17-year-old Davion C. Spark; 19-year-old Tiara N. Tindell; 19-year-old Alden J. Harding and 17-year-old Amy M. Brichevaya.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Brandon K. Vogan of Sedalia after conducting a warrant check in the 400 block of E. 7th on Saturday morning. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250,000 bond.


 

On Saturday at 4:16 a.m, at 10th and Limit, Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Charles E. Scott of Hannibal after a traffic stop for Driving While Suspended. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 56-year-old Fredrick Thomas Gilmore of Columbia on a Muncipal warrant at Johnson and Lamine just after 7 p.m. Friday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on an $86.50 bond. He now has a June 20 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 24-year-old Anthony Gabriel Gueda of Sedalia for Driving While Suspended at 10th and Moniteau at 8:10 p.m. Friday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.


 

Anesha Nicole Sims, 27, Sedalia, was arrested at 3rd and Washington just before 11 p.m. Sunday after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chrysler van that bore plates belonging to a Ford. A computer check revealed Sims was Driving While Suspended. Her cash bond was $114. She now has a June 20 court date.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report from Dollar General, 713 E. Broadway, on Friday evening involving a woman who concealed a hand mirror in her pants and left the store without paying for it. The investigation continues.


 

On Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a vehicle theft report from a woman who parked her vehicle in the 200 block of Winchester with her keys inside. According to the report suspect information is known.


 

Carrie R. Galloway, 36, Sedalia, was issued a trespassing summons at WalMart, 3201 W. Broadway, just after 5 p.m. Saturday. She now has a June 20 court date.


 

Eric Michael Dillon, 30, Sedalia, was arrested after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Mitsubishi passenger car at Pettis and Stewart at 11:40 p.m. Saturday for a defective license plate light. Dillon was wanted on a Benton County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $155 cash bond. Dillon now has a June 6 court date.


On Friday, the Sprint store at 1720 W. Broadway reported that a man entered the store around 11:45 a.m., gave an employee information to run a credit check on him, then proceeded to pull a Galaxy Note 8 from the wall and left without paying. The phone was valued at $960.


 

Also on Friday at the AT&T store on W. Broadway, a suspect left with an Iphone X without paying. The subject was later arrested by Lee's Summit Police. They were not identified in the report.
