SPD crime reports 5-3-17

On Monday night, Curtis Kamaka reported that two males entered a residence of his friend in the 2500 block of Anderson and assaulted him. One choked him and threw him to the ground, while the other hit and kicked him. The victim said he sought medical treatment a few days later, and since the assault, Kamaka was able to identify the two males suspects who attacked him. No arrests were made at the time of the report.


 

On Monday night just before 11:30, Sedalia Police responded to Celebration Center, 1701 W. 32nd, on a report of subjects on the lot who weren't supposed be there. Police located two juveniles who were in possession of marijuana. They were released to their parents and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia through the Juvenile Office.


 

On Tuesday, Dorcus R. Hughes reported the theft of 29 Hydrocodone pills from her residence in the 3200 block of W. 10th. Hughes was able to provide suspect information to police and the case in under investigation.


 

On Tuesday at 3:25 a.m., Sedalia Police were called to the 600 block of E. 27th on a report of two males entering vehicles in the area. Upon the officer's arrival, the two ran eastward, and with the help of another officer, were able to apprehend one of them after a foot pursuit. It was later found the suspect was a runaway juvenile from Columbia. He was taken to the SPD and later released to juvenile authorities.


Donovan Ray Williams, 35, KCMO, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop for improper registration at Broadway and Ohio at 11:57 a.m. Tuesday. Williams was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending the filing of state charges.


 

Aleskey Lorien Kaemper, 22, Sedalia, was arrested at 2424 S. Limit just before 10 a.m. Tuesday on a Probation Violation (for fraudulent use of a credit device). He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $450 bond.


 

On Tuesday, Terri D. Gooch reported that her lawnmower was stolen from her shed in the 2000 block of S. Engineer. There are no suspects.


 

Christina L. Fulton, 32, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at 24th and Ingram on a maroon Ford Focus for no license plates Tuesday afternoon. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released, pending the filing of state charges.


 

Matthew W. Kruse, 21, was arrested for felony 3rd degree Domestic Assault on Tueday night after Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of E. 7th on a disturbance with weapons. According to the report, there was an all-day argument over phones. The suspect allegedly entered the residence and pushed his way in. He also allegedly held a gun to his own head at one point. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail. The Community Mental Health Liaison was contacted for follow-up, the report added.


On Tuesday evening, Brenda Moore reported finding an airsoft gun in her backyard while mowing the grass. The weapon was taken into evidence for safekeeping.


 

Crystal A. Fullmer, 40, Sedalia, was arrested by Sedalia Police after she allegedly refused to leave the lobby at Bothwell Regional Health Center late Sunday night. The suspect appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, according to the report. She was placed into protective custody on a 24-hour hold.


 

Robert J. Sanchez, 21, Sedalia, was arrested after Sedalia Police responded to a noise complaint in the 600 block of E. 10th at 8:23 p.m. Sunday. Sanchez was wanted on a Municipal warrant for a traffic offense. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond and a May 17 court date.


Sedalia Police responded to a report of a suicidal subject in the 800 block of W. 3rd at 2:09 a.m. Tuesday. It was later determined that there was no suicidal subject, but the caller was wanted for felony tampering with a motor vehicle. The suspect was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $5,000 bond, cash or surety. There were no names listed in the report.


 

Caleb P. Reed, (no age), Sedalia, was arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on a silver Pontiac for speeding west on Highway 50 at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. The stop occurred at Broadway and Limit. He was issued a Municipal Court summons with a court date of June 7.


 

Samantha M. Robles, 25, Sedalia, was arrested on a Pettis County warrant after a traffic stop on a white SUV at North Ohio and Missouri Monday at 10:09 p.m. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond. Her court date is TBA.
