Sedalia Police reports 11-6-19

Sedalia Police took an assault report from a woman at 14th and Center at 4:15 a.m. Oct. 29. According to the report, the victim said her husband assaulted her on Oct. 27 and 29 with his hands, then hit her with a metal pole. The suspect was able to force the woman into his vehicle and drive off. Charges are being requested for 2nd degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and kidnapping.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 36-year-old Nicole L. Marbut in the 300 block of McAnally Court on Monday night. She was wanted on three FTA Pettis County warrants with a total bond amount of $550, and two FTA Cass County warrants with a total bond amount of $200.


 

On Monday, Varian Thomas reported a burglary in the 200 block of South Stewart. According to the report, someone broke into his detached garage and stole two battery-powered motorbikes and a stereo. They also stole two bicycles from in front of the residence. The victim has security video of one suspect, although the person is not yet identified.


 

On Monday, a representative of American Auto Rental, 2101 South Limit, reported that he rented a vehicle to someone on Aug. 31 and to date, it has not yet been returned to the business. The vehicle was entered as stolen and charges are being requested.


 

On Monday, a man reported a hit-and-run in the 1100 block of West 3rd that occurred Nov. 3-4.


 

Sedalia Police took a found bicycle in the 1200 block of West Broadway and placed it into Property on Tuesday morning.


 

On Monday, Sedalia Police took a report from a man at Bothwell Regional Health Center, who said that his vehicle was unlawfully entered and someone stole cash and several medications.


 

On Monday, a man reported a hit-and-run that occurred to his 2001 Chevy, which was parked in front of his residence in the 900 block of W. 7th. There was damage to the driver's side of the vehicle.


 

On Monday morning, a woman reported the theft of several items that totaled $5,359.82 in value in the 900 block of E. 4th.


 

On Monday just after 9 a.m., Sedalia Police received a call of a vehicle sitting in traffic, causing a hazard near Broadway and Thompson. But before officers' arrival, the vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident in the 1800 block of West Broadway. The driver, Nathan Paul McMillin, II, of Sedalia, was taken into custody and cited for DWI. There were no injuries reported.


 

On Monday at 12:32 a.m. at 3rd and Engineer, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a gray Mitsubishi traveling north on Engineer with no working license plate lights. The officer discovered that the driver and passenger were both in possession of marijuana. 26-year-old Marshall Wayne Wood and his passenger, 20-year-old Marilyn Ream, both of Sedalia, were issued Municipal summons with a Nov. 27 court date.


 

On Tuesday, Chet Halliburton reported the theft of construction equipment from a 2nd and Grand construction site. Stolen were two water pumps valued at $200, a red metal gas can valued at $45, and a green neon construction coat with the company logo on it. The theft occurred Nov. 2-3.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 20-year-old Jimmie Seth Curry of Pettis County for possession of marijuana after conducting a traffic stop at 10th and Thompson Boulevard at 11:04 p.m. Tuesday night. Curry was issued a court summons and released.
