Sedalia Police reports 9-17-19
On Friday, Sedalia Police took a report at the Tallman Company, 1400 N. Missouri. According to the report, someone cut a chain on a gate over night and stole the company's Gravely lawn mower by driving it off the property through the gate. Suspects are unknown at this time.


 

Sedalia Police took a report at Apex Mechanical, 4009 S. Limit, on Saturday morning. According to the report, a work truck was left outside of the shop, connected to a trailer overnight. The truck was broken into, as well as all the utility boxes. There were $8,500 of supplies taken and $5,000 of damage done to the boxes.


 

A woman reported suspcious activity at Sedalia Heights Apartments, 900 Westwood, on Saturday at 3:36 a.m. According to a report, four subjects wearing masks were seen walking through the parking lot. She later discovered her purse missing from her vehicle. Some of her property was recovered at the scene.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 1000 block of S. Massachusetts on Suspect information was provided to police.


 

Sedalia Police took a report at Liberty Park, 1500 W. 3rd, on Sunday in which an adult male tried to get juvenile females in his car. The suspect left prior to officers' arrival.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of theft of utilities from a residence in the 400 block of E. Saline on Friday.


 

On Friday, a woman reported that she lost her debit card at KFC, 1513 S. Limit, the day before, and the card was used once since.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police located at Dewalt impact hammer at Family Pawn, 2805 W. Broadway, reported stolen out of Benton County. Benton County authorities were notified.


 

Arby's, 2701 W. Broadway, reported finding a bag containing a Marksman pellet gun inside, near the dumpters on Saturday afternoon. The gun was placed into evidence.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of W. 10th on Friday night at 10:10 p.m. A computer check revealed that 22-year-old Arthur Edwards Doyle of Sedalia was wanted on a Johnson County warrant with a $200 cash bond. Doyle was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 19-year-old Makayla Renee Wheeler after a traffic stop in the 700 block of W. 16th on Saturday night around 11 p.m. Wheeler was wanted on a two Municipal warrants and a $100 cash bond. She now has a Sept. 18 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 63-year-old Joey R. Roll in the 400 block of E. 7th on two Cooper County FTA warrants. Roll was a suspect in a disturbance at that address. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a $400 cash bond and an Oct. 22 court date.


 

Jiffy Stop, 1722 W. Broadway, reported that a black male wearing a backpack grabbed two cartons of cigarettes and ran out of the store without paying at 1:55 a.m. Saturday. The cigarettes were valued at $72.58.


 

Sedalia Police took an assault report from a man who said he was choked by an unknown male in the 200 block of Henry on Sunday afternoon. The suspect also took his cell phone.


 

Sedalia Police took an assault report that occurred in the 200 block of W. Broadway on Sunday evening.


 

48-year-old Dudley E. Cramer of Sedalia was arrested for 4th degree domestic assault on Sunday evening at 216 W. Broadway. Cramer was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Denetria D. Brown of Sedalia at 10th and Osage at 2:23 a.m. Sunday after a traffic stop. She was wanted on two FTA Municipal warrants. Her bond was $200 cash. Brown now has an Oct. 2 court date.
