Sedalia Police reports 9-20-19
Sedalia Police took a report of a possible strong armed robbery that occurred on Sunday at 5 p.m. According to the report, a juvenile male displayed a firearm and stole over $100 from the victim. According to the report, the victim's mother declined to pursue criminal charges in the case.
On Thursday, Sedalia Police took a report from a woman who said someone gained access to her debit card and made several transactions.
On Tuesday, Shoe Sensation, 2700 W. Broadway, Suite C, reported that a witness saw a suspect try on a pair of shoes, then walk out of the store without paying. Suspect information was provided to police, and charges are being pursued.
Sedalia Police arrested 42-year-old Carrie Lynn Wilcox of Sedalia on a Pettis County Probation and Parole violation on Tuesday at 701 E. Broadway. Wilcox was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash bond.
Sedalia Police arrested 20-year-old Erika J. Habana Garcia in the 400 block of E. 17th on Tuesday at 4:42 a.m. She was wanted on a $60 Municipal warrant. She now has an Oct. 2 court date.
Two men were arrested in the 700 block of West Cooper on Tuesday evening. Margarito Marcos Quetzecua was wanted on two Municipal warrants, while 25-year-old Juan Quetzecua was wanted on four Municipal FTA warrants. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail, and both have a Nov. 6 court date,.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that made an improper left turn at Broadway and Kentucky. A computer check revealed that the driver, 44-year-old Anthony M. Asbury, was found to be driving while revoked. He was also charged with failure to register with the DOR. Asbury was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday at 10th and Thompson. A computer check of the driver, 37-year-old Shawn Bradley Bosworth of Sedalia, was a suspect in a shoplifting incident from earlier. He was taken to the Petttis County Jail. His court date was TBA.
On Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police took a report at Missouri and Jefferson in which a resident heard four gunshots in the area. Three .380 caliber bullet casings were recovered in the roadway.
