A Sedalia woman was arrested after being involved in a motor vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon. 32-year-old Heather Rose Gonzalez was one of the drivers involved in a wreck at Broadway and State Fair Blvd., just after 1 p.m. Sept. 3. A computer check revealed she was driving while suspended. She was also wanted on a Pettis County warrant and was charged with failure to register with e DOR and failure to maintain financial responsibility. Gonzalez was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 2700 block of S. Stewart around 8:05 p.m. Tuesday. 34-year-old Benjamin R. Adams was arrested and charged with 1st degree trespassing when he refused to leave. He was also wanted on a felony KCMO warrant for DWI. Adams was taken to the Pettis County Jail and held on a $4,900 cash or surety bond. His court date is TBA.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of E. 5th at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday. When the front door was opened, police could detect the strong odor of marijuana from from within. A subsequent search of the residence revealed a marijuana pipe with marijuana contained inside. 39-year-old Bobbi Jo Thomas was issued two summons and an Oct. 16 court date.


 

On Tuesday, a woman reported that someone stole two license plates off her vehicle while it was parked in the 2400 block of West Main.


 

On Tuesday, a man reported that overnight, someone damaged the windshield on two vehicles, and also someone broke an upstairs window with a rock at 3:30 a.m.


 

On Tuesday evening, Sedalia Police took an assault report in the 900 block of Westwood. A Municipal charge is being submitted to the prosecutor.


 

On Tuesday morning, Sedalia Police took a property damage report at Clover Dell Park, 4001 W. 32nd. According to a report, someone damaged a lock and entered the park between sundown and 7 a.m. and did doughnuts in the grass in the southeast area of the park, causing $500 of damage. There are no suspects.


 

On Tuesday morning, a woman reported that her wallet from her purse was taken from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1100 block of E. 11th.


 

On Tuesday morning, a woman reported the theft of a power wheel, valued at $499.99, from her residence in the 1400 block of South Moniteau, taken sometime overnight.


 

On Aug. 29, Sedalia Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2600 block of Anderson. A subject there said his vehicle was stolen two blocks away a few minutes prior. The suspect was not located.


 

On Monday at 1:40 a.m., at 16th and Brown, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed drugs and paraphernalia. 41-year-old Bradley James Luetjen of Warrensburg was arrested for felony driving while suspended and felony possession of a controlled substance. His passenger, 37-year-old Mary Elizabeth Dearing, was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance (meth and cocaine).


 

Sedalia Police arrested 41-year-old Amy Irene Clark after responding to a noise complaint just after 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of E. 13th. A computer check revealed Clark was wanted on a two FTA Municipal warrants. She was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $210 Bond. She now has an Oct. 16 court date.


 

On Monday, a woman reported someone busted her car windshield in the area of North Lamine and Cooper.


 

On Friday, Aug. 30, Sedalia Police took a burglary report from someone who said a suspect entered the residence and pointed a gun at them. The victim then ran off and called the SPD as soon as she could. The officer didn't locate anyone, but $3,800 worth of items were missing from the residence in the 200 block of South Prospect.
