Sedalia Police reports 9-6-19

Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of E. 10th on Friday at 8:35 p.m. One of the subjects, 45-year-old Kimberly Sue McNeil of Smithton was wanted on a Municipal warrant with a $250 bond and a Sept. 11 court date, and a Pettis County probation violation with a $2,000 cash bond and a $2500 surety bond with a Sept. 24 court date. McNeil was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen cell phone from 35-year-old Melissa S. Franken of Sedalia at 4:02 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of W. 3rd. The phone and suspect were not located, but a computer check revealed Franken was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $250 cash bond. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of S. Washington on Friday around 4:30 p.m. One of the passengers exited the vehicle and fled. A short foot pursuit followed, and the suspect, 33-year-old Martin S. Browning of Goodson, Mo., struggled with officers. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Se was wanted on a Polk County warrant with a $25,000 bond, and a parole violation with no bond. Browning was also charged with resisting arrest and 4th degree assault. His court date is TBA.


 

On Friday, Sedalia Police investigated a report of an intoxicated driver at Cork 'n Bottle, 3806 E. Broadway just after 10 p.m. The driver, 25-year-old Savannah M. C. Perry, of Lincoln, was taken to the SPD, then on to the Pettis County Jail. She was charged with DWI, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and no child restraint for a four-year-old. She was booked and released to a sober person.


 

Sedalia Police investigated an incident in the 400 block of E. Broadway around 10:30 p.m. Friday. According to a report, one person went onto another's property and a verbal disturbance began. An assault on the property owner occurred, and the property owner shot them in the leg. The person was transported to a Columbia hospital with non life threatening injuries.


 

Two Lincoln residents were arrested and charged with stealing from Cork n' Bottle, 3806 E. Broadway, on Friday. According to a report, Paige N. Wiskur and Joshua M. Larsen, both 25, allegedly concealed items and left the store without paying on Sept. 5. They were later contacted in the 1700 block of E. 5th and issued summons.


On Saturday just before 2 a.m., a man reported to police that he heard his vehicle start up in the driveway and he watched it pull out of his driveway and leave from the 2400 block of Dennis Road in Sedalia. The black 2017 Ford F-150 4-door work truck belonged to Missouri One Call System. According to the report, the keys were left in the ignition.


 

On Satuday morning, a man reported that his white 2014 Chevy Malibu was stolen sometime overnight from his residence in the 900 block of Sue Lane. There were no suspects in the theft of the vehicle with dark-tinted windows.


 

On Friday, a man reported the theft of items from an unlocked vehicle overnight in the 1100 block of South Grand. Total value of the items taken was estimated at $50.


 

Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report that occurred overnight Sept. 6-7 in the 300 block of S. Harrison. There are no suspects.


 

On Saturday, a man reported the theft of a license plate from his vehicle sometime between 12:30 and 7 a.m. while it was parked in the 1300 block of South Ohio. There are no suspects.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a call of a male running down the street who dropped something, then ran between houses in the 1900 block of South Washington. Officers caught up with the man near 19th and Lamine around 10:30 p.m. Friday night and arrested 35-year-old Derrick A. Clay of Sedalia on charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 42-year-old Crystal Gayle Johnson of Sedalia at Broadway and Warren just before 9 a.m. Friday for expired plates. A computer check revealed that Johnson was driving while revoked. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

On Saturday, a woman reported that her purse was stolen from her front porch in the 1200 block of West Spring. The theft occurred between 3:45 and 5 p.m. Sept. 4.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police responded to Long John Silver's, 922 South Limit, on a traffic complaint. Two subjects were located on the lot, one of them was wanted on three warrants. 21-year-old Morgan T. Foote of Sedalia was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $220 cash bond with court dates of Oct. 2 and 8.


On Friday night, Sept. 6 just after 10:30, a woman reported in the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court being assaulted. Charges of 2nd degree assault are being submitted.


 

20-year-old Zachary T. Pulliam of Sedalia was arrested by Sedalia Police for violation of an exparte at 12:42 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of E. 9th. Pulliam was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

47-year-old Daniel K. Davis of Sedalia was arrested on a misdemeanor Pettis County warrant in the 400 block of E. Broadway after Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance. Davis was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 bond. He now has a Sept. 24 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of W. 7th on Friday morning. 59-year-old Teresa A. Capraro was wanted on four Pettis County warrants for drug-related felonies with a total bond amount of $35,000. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Sept. 1, Dollar General, 2003 S. Limit, reported that a suspect took a pre-paid cell phone and left the store without paying.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a man on a bicycle northbound in the 600 block of S. Hancock on Sept. 4 for no lights. 35-year-old Jackie Dean Gresham of Sedalia was issued a summons and released from the scene. He now has a Sept. 25 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested Cruz Escobar of Sedalia at Main and Park after a traffic stop around 1:30 p.m. Friday. He was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for driving while revoked. Escobar was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 bond. His court date is TBA.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 30-year-old Jose L. Rubio Herrera of Sedalia after a traffic stop on Sept. 6 on Green Ridge Road on a gray Chrysler Town and County van that sped through a school zone just after 9 a.m. Herrera was found to be driving while revoked. He was booked and released from the Pettis County Jail.


 

On Sept. 6, Sedalia Police took a property damage report involving two tires that were damaged overnight in the 2700 block of Woodlawn Drive. A suspect has been identified.


 

On Sept. 8, a passer-by motor vehicle off the roadway in the 1300 block of E. Boonville. And notified Sedalia Police. A Pettis County deputy was sent to investigate, and it turned out that the plates were reported stolen Sept. 7.
