SPD crime reports 2-22-17

Sedalia Police arrested Derek Stone Hayes, 20, Independence, after a traffic stop on a gray Ford Crown Victoria for failing to dim his headlights. He was later confirmed on a Henry County warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash bond. No court date was set.


Vicki Lynn Harris, 51, Smithton, was arrested after a traffic stop at Broadway and Summit late Tuesday night. She was confirmed with a Municipal warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $50 bond. She has a court date of April 5.


Blake A. Hollon, 18, Sedalia, was arrested at 7th and Grand Tuesday evening on a Municipal warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $93.50 bond and a court date of April 5.


Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 1500 block of S. Kentucky on Monday, and the caller asked to be taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was transported by PCAD to Bothwell, where he allegedly assaulted a nurse. He remained at Bothwell for treatment and the victim sustained a minor injury. A charge of third degree assault is being referred to the prosecutor.


On Tuesday night, FavTrip, 216 W. Broadway, reported that a black male stole a $2 item from the store, then returned two hours later. When management confronted the suspect, the suspect threatened to go get a gun and shoot him. The suspect then left on foot. Video footage of the incident is being reviewed.


On Monday afternoon, a representative of Carr Farm Diesel and Auto Repair, 719 W. Main, reported the theft of items from an unlocked vehicle within the past two weeks.


Police took an identity theft report from a victim who said someone their credit card number to purchase pizza and hot wings from Domino's on Monday night. The pizza delivery driver told police he delivered the goods totaling $33.48 to 518 E. 12th Street, where a male signed for the bill.


Michael K. Smith reported damage to his windshield sometime between 2 and 2:15 p.m. on Monday in the 1300 block of E. 9th.
