Around 6:00 in the evening on Janaury 6th, there was a 3 vehicle injury accident near the intersection of East Broadway and South Massechusettes Avenue. The driver in the first vehicle stated he didn't see vehicle 2's turn signal. Driver one said he swerved to avaid a crash but ended up striking the rear-passenger side of the second vehicle. The driver in the third vehicle stated she was waiting to turn left and was struck by the second vehicle. The driver in vehicle two, complained of chest pain, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS.

Around 10:18 in the morning on January 7th, in the 300 block of East Booneville Street, Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check on a subject. After the warrant was confirmed by dispatch, police arrested the 17-year old juvenile suspect for the warrant out of Morgan County. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $75,000.00 surety or 10% cash.

Early this morning around 2:48, at 601 East 14th Street, which is Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia Police were dispatched for a reported assault. Both victims stated the suspect became combative with medical staff. One vicitm stated that the subject struck him in the face and spit blood and saliva on both victims faces. 32 year old, Elmer J. Miley Jr. was arrested for assault and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

On January 7th, Sedalia Police arrrested 19 year old Brandon M. Markell for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphenalia, and the intent to distribute marijuana. Markell was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of state charges.

Around 7:15 in the evening of January 7th, Sedalia Police were involved in short vehicle pursuit in the South city limits. The driver lost controlled of his vehicle and came to stop in a ditch. The suspect fled on foot. A short time later, the supect was taken into custody without incidence. Arrested at the scene was Timothy Ray Kiezer Smith, for mulitple charges, including a warrant for 1st degree assault and armed criminal action. A search revealed that he was in possession of methanphetimine, marijuana, and drug paraphenalia. Keizer-Smith was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold with a bond of $250,000.00 cash or surety.
