Cole Camp man arrested for driving while suspended

At 8am Saturday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and Osage. A check on the driver, 48-year-old John W. Long of Cole Camp was found to be a suspended driver. The police report states he was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was released with a court date.

Dog bite investigated on Friday

According to a Sedalia Police report officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Hospital Emergency Room on a reported dog bite. Upon contact with the victim he told the officers he was delivering mail to a house in the 900 block of West 11th around 11:45 that morning. According to the victim when the female resident came out of the house a black and white Pitt Bull Dog came out with her, and bit him on the hand twice. The police report states the victim was wearing gloves, and did not get any puncture wounds, but his hand began to swell, and he was experiencing pain. The report also states the owner of the dog has been contacted, but no other information was contained in the report.

Burglary reported in the 1300 East 4th Saturday

Around 2:30 Saturday afternoon a victim in the 130 block of East 4th reported someone entered his home and stole $1830 worth of items. There was no information on a possible suspect.

Westside vehicles targets of property damage and thefts

Just before 11 am Sunday morning a victim in the 1300 block of South Barrett reported the driver’s side window of his vehicle was broken out.

At Noon on Sunday a victim in the 900 block of West 11th reported someone hit the driver’s side window of his vehicle with a brick. The brick was found lying close to the vehicle according to the police report.

At 2:12 Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 150 block of South Barrett. The victim told the officers someone entered her vehicle and stole some change.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports

On Tuesday the 16th of December Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 40-year-old Jeremy North on an active probation violation. The sheriff’s report states the arrest was made at a residence in the 50 block of West 5th in Sedalia.

On Thursday Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chris Brown of Sedalia at Broadway and Summit for driving on a suspended license.
