On Wednesday (Nov 8), Sedalia Police responded to a vehicle accident in the 1800 block of S. Engineer Ave. According to the police report, the vehicle had struck two utility poles. Further investigation revealed the suspect, 24-year old Sean D. Loomis, was intoxicated. Loomis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending city charges of DWI. No further details were listed in the report.


Wednesday morning (Nov 8), Sedalia Police met with a woman at the police station in regards to a warrant check. According to the report, 42-year old Angelia R. Asbury had a warrant from Pettis County. Asbury was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $101.50.


On Wednesday (Nov 8), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of S. Park Ave. in reference to an assault. The report indicates a person had been hit with a baseball bat. The victim stated she was assaulted by a person she knew, but the suspect had left the scene. A second subject at the scene also claimed to be assaulted but did not want to press charges. There was no suspect information listed in the report and no further details were available.
