Sedalia Police Department Crime Reports for Feb. 11, 2019
On Sunday (Feb 10), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Sunset Drive for a warrant check. After a search of the house, 47-year old Vernon Edward Long was reportedly located hiding in the dining room. Long was arrested for a no-bond Saline County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On Saturday (Feb 9), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of W. 7th Street for an assault report. The assault was found to have occurred at American Inn, located at 1217 S. Limit. Contact was made with the suspect, 27-year old Andre LaMonte Marsh. He was found to have three active warrants. Marsh was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 2nd Degree Assault charge and the warrants. He had a bond of $2,560.00.
On Saturday (Feb 9), Sedalia Police were dispatched to American Inn in reference to domestic assault. The victim said she was tased by her boyfriend in the neck. Investigation resulted in the arrest of 43-year old Christopher Eugene Bartlett. He was placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault and Armed Criminal Action.
On Friday (Feb 8), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Park Ave in reference to a domestic disturbance. According to a police report, the investigation revealed 28-year old Mary A. Hale assaulted two family members. Hale was arrested for 3rd Degree Assault and 4th Degree Assault. Hale also had a Pettis County FTA warrant with a $7,500.00 bond. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On Thursday (Feb 7), police responded to the 400 bock of E. 7th Street for a disturbance. Officers made contact with a man and woman who said they were in a verbal argument. The woman, identified as 43-year old Cheri N. Lambert, had a confirmed warrant from Pettis County. Lambert was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with a $2,500.00 bond.
On Wednesday (Feb 6), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of E. 10th Street to assist the Children's Division. Officers made contact with 42-year old Enrique Cook who stated he had permission to stay in a friend's garage due to being homeless. Officers were reportedly granted consent to search Cook's bags and found two needles. One of the needles field tested positive for methamphetamine. Cook was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernlia and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail.
On February 4, a woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone had entered the garage at her residence and took several boxes of tax paperwork that included the social security numbers of four people. The victim also stated that someone told her the items were seen at a residence in the 1200 block of S. Grand Ave. No further information was available in the report.
On Sunday (Feb 10), Sedalia Police took a burglary report in the 700 block of E. 4th Street. The complainant said that someone had forced entry into the residence and stole items valued at $250.00. The damage is estimated at $100.00. There are no suspects at this time.
On Sunday (Feb 10), Sedalia Police responded to the 1200 block of S. Arlington Ave in reference to a report of property damage. A woman stated that sometime over the weekend, her tires had been punctured. The damage was estimated at $200.00. There are no suspects at this time.
