On Wednesday (Dec 13), Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the area of 13th Street and Lafayette Ave for an improper stop at a stop sign. A passenger in the vehicle was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The report indicates  evidence of drug sales was also found. The passenger, 27-year old Holden Boyd Browing, was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges for various drug offences.


On Wednesday (Dec 13), Sedalia Police responded to the 1800 block of S. Lamine Ave for a possible domestic assault. A police report says the suspect's information revealed a Benton County warrant. Police say after the suspect, 27-year old Chelsea R. Patterson, was handcuffed, she headbutted the police vehicle 2 times and dented it. The suspect reportedly continued banging her head on the inside cage in the vehicle. Officers then put Patterson in a WRAP device. Patterson was then taken to the Pettis County Jail for the warrant and 2nd Degree Property Damage.


On Thursday (Dec 14), Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 3000 block of Clinton Road. The suspect, 23-year old Christopher William Young, had a Pettis County warrant. Young was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $1,500.


On Wednesday (Dec 13), a victim reported to Sedalia Police that while her vehicle was parked at the Boys and Girls Club, someone got into the unlocked vehicle and took her purse. There are no suspects at this time.


 

On Wednesday, Linda Knox reported the theft of her purse from her vehicle while parked at Heckart's Funeral Home, 903 S. Ohio. The theft occurred between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and was an estimated $675 total loss. There are no suspects.


 

On Wednesday, Kelly Jo Smith reported a theft from her vehicle between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7:20 a.m. Thursday. Taken was a $300 wedding band. There are no suspects.
