On Monday (Jan 8), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at West 16th Street and S. Beacon Ave for a vehicle with improper registration. According to the police report, the driver initially provided a false name. Investigation revealed the driver to be 35-year old Marcus Lamont Davis, of Kansas City, MO. Davis had a revoked license and a Platte County warrant for drug possession. Davis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on the warrant. State charges of Identity Theft and Driving While Revoked are also being sought.


On Wednesday (Jan 10), Sedalia Police made contact with a female subject at the Municipal Building in regards to warrants. The suspect, 43-year old Bobbie J. Williams, had two Cooper County warrants for traffic violations, according to the report. Williams was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


On Tuesday (Jan 9), Sedalia Police responded to Rue 21, located in the 3700 block of W. Broadway, for a reported theft. The complainant said a subject came into the store, gathered an armful of clothes, and then ran out the door without paying. There were no further details listed in the report.
