Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Engineer Avenue around 2:00, Wednesday afternoon (Jan 4), in reference to a disturbance. Officers made contact with the suspects. The suspects information was relayed to dispatch and an active misdemeanor Pettis County warrant was confirmed for 33-year old Joel M. Burrows. Officers arrested Burrows and transported him to the Pettis County Jail, with a cash bond of $250. Dispatch also confirmed that the other suspect, 33-year old Tiah Marie Hatcher, also had a misdemeanor Pettis County warrant. Hatcher was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with cash bond of $150.

 

Around 9:40 Wednesday morning (Jan 4), officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 7th Street and Kentucky Avenue, for a vehicle with expired plates. Officers made contact with the suspect and relayed his information to dispatch. The suspect had a suspended driver's license. 50-year old John W. Long was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending the filing of City DWS charges. Long was given a court date of February 8, 2017.

 

Around 12:00 Wednesday afternoon (Jan 4), officers made contact with a suspect at the police station, in reference to a warrant. The warrant was confirmed for probation violation, out of Howard County. 26-year old April D. Peterson was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a cash bond of $20,000. There were no further details listed in that report.
