Just after 10:00 Sunday morning (Sept 25), Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to Advanced Pet Care at 2931 Clinton Road for a vehicle that had struck a gas meter. Upon officer's arrival, the vehicle was now parked across the street. The driver appeared to be passed out. Upon contact with the driver, officers noticed the odor of intoxicants. According to the report, the driver appeared to be heavily intoxicated. The Pettis County Ambulance District was called to the scene and the driver was taken to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for testing and observation. He was released a few hours later. A check on his license had revealed the driver had a revoked license from Minnesota. Officers arrested 33-year old Santiago U. Nava, of Rockville, MN, and transported him to the Pettis County Jail. He was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges for Driving While Revoked and DWI.

 

Around 3:25 Sunday afternoon (Sept 25), officers were dispatched to the area of 3rd Street and Wagner for a reported disturbance. The victim said the suspects were a male and a female. According to the report, the male suspect had allegedly come at the man with a knife. The suspects had left the scene prior to officers arrival. The suspects were located later in an alley in the 1300 block of East 4th Street. 21-year old Joshua David McAlister was arrested for Unlawful Use of Weapon. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of charges.

 

Around 11:45 Sunday morning (Sept 25), officers responed to the 1200 block of South Kentucky for a report of burglary. The victim stated someone had stolen multiple items from his house. The estimated value of the missing items was placed at $440.00. The suspect has not been located at this time. No further details were listed in that report.

 

Around 2:45 Thursday afternoon (Sept 22), officers responded to the 400 block of North Missouri Avenue for a reported burglary. The victim stated she left her house around 1:30 that afternoon and returned around 2:15pm. She noticed several items were missing and there was damage to the back door. Over $3,300.00 worth of items were missing from the residence. There are no suspects at this time. No further details were listed in that report.
