The following Sedalia crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports are from the afternoon of Jan. 23, 2014.

Man enters a woman’s home and refuses to leave Wednesday night

At 8 p.m. Wednesday night, the Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of East 11th on a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that the suspect had entered her home and sat on her couch. When the victim asked the suspect to leave, he told her he was too drunk and it was too cold to walk. Arrested at the scene was 58-year-old Joseph C. Harwell Jr. of Sedalia. At the time of the police report, he was in the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of trespassing.

Sedalia man reports four girls stole his food Wednesday afternoon

Just before 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia Police investigated a theft complaint in the 3100 block of Brianna Blvd. Upon contact with the male victim, he told officers that four girls pushed their way into his apartment as he was entering it. The victim then said two of the girls distracted him while the other two took food from his refrigerator. After the girls left with the food, he said he went to their apartment and they were already cooking the food. The police report states the girls had not been contacted at the time of the police report.

Sedalia man arrested on a warrant Wednesday morning

On Wednesday morning, Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Probation and Parole Office located at 205 Thompson Road on a suspect with a warrant. Upon arrival, they arrested Jade Alexis Buckner and transported him to the Pettis County Jail pending $4500 bond on a probation violation.

Pettis County Deputies arrest a 22-year-old man on multiple charges

Just before midnight on Sunday night, Pettis County Deputies arrested 22-year-old Ruben Barajas of Sedalia for excessive speeding, carless and imprudent driving, resisting arrest by fleeing, driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to signal.

Pettis County car accident reported early Wednesday morning

At 3:30 Wednesday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Hedge Apple Road west of Whitney Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly happened as the 2007 Nissan driven by 31-year-old Gabriel Hesse of Sedalia traveled off of the roadway and struck a culvert before returning to the roadway. Hesse received minor injuries but decided to seek his own treatment.
