On the afternoon of August 24th, The Sedalia Police Department took a theft report in the 1100 block of South State Fair Boulevard. The victim reported someone stole several items from his unlocked vehicle. Among the items stolen were multiple credit and debit cards, as well as cash. A suspect was soon developed. On the 25th, Officers with the Crime Resolution Unit were able to locate the suspect using a vehicle check. The suspect was brought to the Police Department and questioned. Tanner J. Leary, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of felony Stealing, felony Fraudulent Use of Credit Device, and Possession of Prohibited Weapon (Knuckles).


 

Thursday evening, Officers responded to the 1900 block of East Boonville Street for a vehicle check. After locating the vehicle, Officers determined the subject associated with it had been driving. After speaking with the subject, Officers recognized the subject to be intoxicated. David Anthony Macias, 35, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and taken to the Police Department for processing. After, Macias was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hour hold for felony Driving While Intoxicated (Habitual Offender) and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Proper License.


 

Officers were dispatched to Complete Real Estate Service, 1118 West 3rd Street Thursday night in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle noticed someone was in her car from her business, and when she approached the car, the suspect was gone. The suspect left with over $1,100 worth of items.


 

Thursday evening, Officers responded to the Police Department lobby for found property. Conlan M. Downey located a wallet and brought it to the Police Department. Officers attempted to make contact with the owner of the wallet, but were unsuccessful. The wallet was then placed into evidence.


 

Officers responded to the Police Department lobby for a subject check Wednesday evening. When Officers arrived, nobody was located inside or outside of the lobby. It was discovered that the subject had left a speaker in the lobby. The speaker was placed into evidence.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Cash 2 Go, 3905 South Limit Avenue, for a report of a disturbance Thursday evening. Christopher McCoy stated that a suspect had purposely struck him with a vehicle, injuring his leg. The suspect had already left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival.


 

Thursday night, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a disturbance. During the investigation, an illegal firearm was seized and brought to the Police Department to be entered as evidence.


 

Officers responded to the 2100 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of a burglary not in progress Thursday night. Deborah M. Waltemeyer reported that earlier that evening, someone forced entry into her residence and by doing so, damaged two doors. The damage was valued at around $100. The incident is under investigation.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near East 6th Street and South Center Avenue. It was determined that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license. Lawrence Allen Cole II, 43, of Warsaw, was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Cole was booked and released for Driving While Suspended.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of East 7th Street and South Merriam Avenue in reference to a subject with a Pettis County warrant. Upon arrival, Officers met with the subject, and it was confirmed through Dispatch that he had two Failure to Appear Pettis County warrants for two separate counts of Driving While Revoked. Dale L. Anson, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where bond was set at $500 cash only.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the 2000 block of East 6th Street in reference to a child custody issue. The father of a juvenile had failed to exchange custody of the child as agreed per the custody agreement. A report was made for documentation purposes. No charges are being pursued at this time.


 

Wednesday afternoon, the Sedalia Police Department's Crime Resolution Unit received information on drug activity at the American Inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue. A search warrant was obtained for room 125, which resulted in seizure of items related to drug activity. A second search warrant was obtained for 1208 South Carr Avenue, and executed on the same date. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of items related to drug activity. Viktor Vladimirovic Gergovskyy, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested without incident and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Gergovskyy was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges of Trafficking Drugs in the 1st Degree, Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers spoke with a complainant who reported a theft from the Sonic restaurant, 300 West Broadway Boulevard. The complainant reported that a bank deposit had been taken from the business by an employee. The suspect was contacted at her address in La Monte by the Pettis County Sheriff's Department. Tamara L. Agustine, 42, of La Monte, was taken into custody and transferred to the Sedalia Police. Agustine was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of state charges of Stealing.


 

Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department Wednesday afternoon in reference to a theft that occurred. Shelia Ann Vannoy and Madison Levion Lyles reported items were stolen from a residence near the 500 block of West 5th Street, as they were in the process of moving out of the residence. The total value of the items was estimated at approximately $559. The suspects have not been located at this time.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers took a report from Jeremy Reed in reference to a parent reportedly providing controlled substances to their child sometime around April of 2021. The incident was reported to have occurred near the 2600 block of Highland Avenue. A report was made of the incident as well as a report to the Child Abuse Hotline.


 

Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a reported theft Wednesday afternoon. Billy R. Dotson has had several unauthorized transactions through his bank, amounting to at least $1,940.72. Dotson was trying to determine the total amount of unauthorized charges, but believes they may date back to April of 2021. The suspect has not been located at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of North Prospect Avenue for a report of fraudulent use of a credit device Wednesday afternoon. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Lexxus E. Mitchell. Mitchell stated that someone had stolen her debit card and used it to purchase $34 worth of merchandise at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect tried to use the card at another establishment but it was denied. A suspect was named, but at the time of the report, had not been located for questioning.
