Sedalia Police arrested 54-year-old Jeffery L. Waters after he was accused of stealing from Break Time, 318 West Broadway, on Friday afternoon. According to a report, Waters left the area on bicycle before police arrived, but was later located at Broadway and Carr, and arrested. The stolen items were recovered, and Waters was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
On Monday around 4:14 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of South Grand. According to a report, three victims said that suspects trespassed onto their property, verbally threatened residents, then rammed a vehicle into two other vehicles parked on the property. Both suspects are known to the victims, and charges are being requested.
On Monday at 1:47 a.m., Sedalia Police took a report of an attempted break-in in the 700 block of West 2nd. The report stated that the complainant woke up to the sound of a power tool, followed by the sound of glass shattering. The suspect, who is reportedly known to the resident, fled the area prior to officers' arrival.
Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Rebecca P. Reyes of Sedalia in the 1100 block of E. 6th on Sunday afternoon after officers responded to a disturbance there. Reyes was wanted on a Municipal warrant with a $60 cash bond. She now has a Sept. 18 court date.
Sedalia Police were called to the disturbance at 7th and Washington just before 3 p.m. Tuesday. Officers contacted a female at 5th and Osage. A computer check revealed that 22-year-old Cassie N. Clemons of Sedalia was wanted on two Pettis County warrants. Clemons was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. One warrant had a $1,500 cash or surety bond, while the other had a $250 cash bond. Clemons now had an Oct. 1 court date.
On Tuesday, Sedalia Police took a theft report from a man in the 2500 block of Wing Ave., who said that someone stole a backpack from an unlocked vehicle. There are no suspects.
On Tuesday, Sedalia Police took a property damage report from a woman who said someone damaged all four tires on her 2008 Chevy, parked overnight in the 1000 block of East 7th. The front and rear windows on the vehicle were also smashed.
On Tuesday, Sedalia Police took a theft report from a woman who works at Sears, 3117 W. Broadway. According to the report, money from the business' safe was missing when she arrived for work.
B & B Transmission, 1001 W. Main, reported on Tuesday morning that a customer's vehicle parked on the lot was damaged with the taillights broken out.
On Sunday, Sedalia Police arrested 42-year-old Donovan L. Sims in the 300 block of W. 7th on a Pettis County warrant for non-support. Sims was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $300 bond.
On Monday, Sedalia Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of S. Brown. According to a report, a victim had injuries and the suspect had fled the area prior to officers' arrival. However, the suspect returned to the residence later and a computer check revealed that 41-year-old Jason B. Warren was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with 4th degree assault and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Dodge Sedan for following too closely at 7:35 a.m. Monday at Main and Thompson. A computer check revealed 22-year-old Alayah Sade Waddell was wanted on a Pettis County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 cash bond. Waddell now has an Oct. 9 court date.
On Sunday, Sedalia Police took a theft report from a man who said that his Ruger .380 semi-automatic pistol and a six-round magazine and six bullets from his car in the 2800 block of Keith Allen Drive. The theft occurred between 8:30 a.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday.
On Monday at 4:14 a.m., a woman reported that her vehicle was stolen from her driveway in the 500 block of North Stewart between 3:30 and 4 a.m. There is one possible suspect.
On Sunday, Sedalia Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Poplar Place around 8:40 p.m. One of the subjects, 33-year-old Kyle Walter Altenderfer was wanted on a Warrensburg warrant for DWI. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
On Sunday at 4:41 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 40-year-old Kelli J. Newkirk of Sedalia for driving while suspended at Saline and Randolph. Newkirk was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with an Oct. 9 court date.
22-year-old David Luis Diodonet was arrested by Sedalia Police Aug. 27 after officers were called to the 3800 block of E. Broadway on a report of a male approaching windows and holding something in his pants. The suspect was located, but he fled and a foot pursuit ensued. Diodonet was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
On Aug. 27, Sedalia Police arrested 54-year-old Paul Brian Lillard of Sedalia after a traffic stop for speeding and failing to signal a lane change in the 3100 block of W. Broadway. A computer check revealed he was a fugitive from justice out of Madison County, Tenn. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
